Well it's still sinking in actually, we've got the keys now but the feeling is a bit surreal cos it's been a 2 year process all up, my wife and I are still processing. Had a hectic morning meeting up with SS on site to do a final walk through, he still has a list of about 8 little things to do including getting appliances installed but we trust him to get it all done by about Tuesday next week. Here's some quick pics as promised, all taken at 7am this morning. I'm so glad they finally got everything over the line for you. And just in time for all the public holidays to give you some extra days off to settle in Building with Wisdom Homes 5071Apr 06, 2017 2:57 pm Appointments done. $9700 spend with electrical, but with very little to do ourselves after handover. About $3k at colours and then there's stair upgrades to add and sentinel for the HT speakers. The shed is missing from the landscape plan (that'll go in as a separate DA) but it's going in the green patch behind the pool. Now hopefully not too long before we see it all come together Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Building Monte Carlo 40- Wisdom homes Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 5072Apr 06, 2017 3:34 pm ShuddaBeenATradie The dream has become reality! Hopefully you dont have too much to do after handover so you can relax and enjoy your house. Looks like those are downlight provisions. Have you decided what to use after handover? I found a website that sell the same downlight as W at about $20 a piece. RRP is about $35. Also may I ask what floor plan are you building? Looks great! And I don't think I saw this plan. There's $58 difference I think between the provision and just getting the light, we figured by the time we buy the downlight and add labour it wouldn't be a massive saving. 15 of them were included with the wise choice promo also. The only provisions we got were for 2 ceiling fans downstairs, and for pendant lights above stairs, front entry void, dining and kitchen island, and the 3 exterior lights on portico/garage. We decided the same on downlights provisions! Once we did the maths I think it worked out as like an extra $500 difference between having for handover, or doing it post-handover. It was a no-brainier for us to get it completely done through W. If you were an electrician and not paying for labour then maybe, but the call out fee, extra hassle and time sitting around for tradies didn't seem worth it for us. I guess it comes down to budget though. If you are pushing the budget could be a good way to save a couple extra pennies. Building Majestic 40 - wisdom homes Can someone please offer some advice?
