I'm not much help other than our experience that I'm in the north east and our driveway hasn't cracked, I think they did enough expansion joints. I haven't found the information online for the standard, but the second concreting guy said they should be no more than 3m by 3m. It is so disappointing. There are three other concrete driveways in our street - one poured eight years ago, two poured about 18 months ago.
