Especially as their snappy jingles plays all the time on HIT FM trying to entrap ... ahem... attract new clients in the area. And I'll put in my vote for cool bed head! Very plush looking. I hope something happens for you soon. I called on Monday but Micah was flooded in and they didn't know when he would be back. I've sent emails but surprise surprise nothing... We will almost be at week 10 with no frames Hubby went out yesterday because we had our mattress delivered, although we had to get it delivered to hubby's brother down the road because GJ put up temp fencing across our driveway yesterday morning and you can't get in... I doubt any work will get done this week, Micah hasn't given me a price for gravel yet... Can I just give up now? GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643 Sorry to see you need to go through this Charli... Very few people are lucky enough to have a smooth build process.... Everyone else had a hiccup at some point.. you are having it now but I hope it will be smooth once the frame starts... I had a very smooth start and even thought they gonna finish before Xmas (whom am I kidding) but after Xmas break my build is moving on a snail pace.. may be it is just how we take it makes the difference (easier said than done)... Funny I am visiting my house everyday and the external looks the same for last 3 months and it doesn't feel like a new house to me anymore...lol I really hope GJ realise this is not just a few weeks delay but your build was supposed to be started Oct/Nov last year..... Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 9 Frames still not up... 2370Mar 22, 2017 8:58 am Sorry to say this CB, but it sounds like this Micah fellow couldn't organise a bonk in a brothel! Was it 7 weeks ago that you said your slab went down? And the only thing he has organised since then is a temporary fence? Not good enough in my opinion. More should have happened in that time regardless of the sh*tty weather you guys have been having over there. As for the gravel, GJ is a local company and should know what the area is like when it gets wet & should plan for that well in advance. IMO this Micah is incompetent. I would be writing a formal complaint to the managing director of the company. It's not good enough. Coral Homes Marcoola 30 Mod viewtopic.php?t=85789 Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 9 Frames still not up... 2374Mar 22, 2017 9:56 am I played it quite calm, we have a youth workshop a work today so didn't want to freak them out with me screaming down the phone. Still haven't been given a price for the gravel and doubt I will have it by the end of the day. I have tried my hardest to be patient and positive but how much more do I have to take? Seriously if this house isn't Speedy Gonzales pace once frames are up I will protest at every GJ display house GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643 Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 9 Frames still not up... 2375Mar 22, 2017 10:56 am This really sux charli, I hate watching each week go by with Nada happening. There shouldn't be any reason once frames go up for the build to be at a snails pace. Gunning for frames up on Monday? What on earth are they doing? Mind you our neighbors house started going up a whole month and a half before us and we got keys three weeks ago and there house still isn't finished! It's just a few painting bits around the top and the garage door that appear to be left outside and the tradies seem to come and do sweet f a. Got my fingers crossed you get some action next week! Our acreage build: Queensland: Stroud Homes Re: Charlibear's Build - Week 9 Frames still not up... 2378Mar 22, 2017 10:54 pm That is terrible news, Charli!! It does seem to be some kind of major organisational stuff up if they didn't realise gravel was needed before frames. And of course, there will be no recourse in any way if they still manage to get your house finished within the build time frames. Stress and pain now could still be worth it later once it's all finished! Here's hoping no further delays in NSW... not even a freak snow storm should stop them now! We are starting our 11th week and still no frames either, the weather is a major factor for the delay but also our SS has informed us he has no idea when he will be able to get a carpenter for us. We are in no-mans land I've stopped going up to our site which is less than 1km away as I just get too depressed about it all. I completely understand how you feel and along with everyone else would feel absolutely over the moon to see your frames start to go up!
