Yes you need to stay on them and I think that helps them know that you are watching. Try not to over stress but that is easier said than done. And if it looks wrong ask your SS as they are not there everyday so good chance you will see it before they do. We found when we picked things out they were always good at fixing them and didn't get complaints about being picky. If they can't explain the difference in planned and actual cuts then it's on them to sort out with their trades or engineers.
