Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Valeco Homes, Custom Home - Forest Ridge at Springfield 34Mar 15, 2017 10:59 pm sheryl_vie hi stacey. I am also building in forest ridge with valeco homes... just wondered did you add extra for your facade? Oh how exciting!! Are you doing a custom build, or one of their designs? The facade price is always listed separately to the house price I believe. Our facade was on the pricier side... it is $6656. What stage are you up to with the building process? Re: Valeco Homes, Custom Home - Forest Ridge at Springfield 35Mar 16, 2017 8:45 am Hey Stacey, good luck with the color selection! Can't wait to go for a drive around the rise once it's up! We just moved in to the peninsula, it's amazing here Re: Valeco Homes, Custom Home - Forest Ridge at Springfield 36Mar 16, 2017 10:05 am ads87 Hey Stacey, good luck with the color selection! Your house is so beautiful!! Are you still unpacking/decorating? Re: Valeco Homes, Custom Design - Springfield Rise 37Apr 16, 2017 10:05 am We now have our Full Working Drawings, yay! In the process of going through everything and making sure it's all correct. Then making adjustments to cabinetry/niches/electrical/windows etc. I'd love opinions/advice on the electrical - will post floor plan and electrical plan below. So far our plans are:

Looks like you are one step ahead of us. Full working drawings to come. Communication though i must admit has been pretty bad (through email), but im hoping the actual building process will be seamless. I am absolutely dreading electrical... i want lights everywhere! Love your plan, and is that polished concrete? super jealous.. that will be awesome. Our sales guy has been pretty great, always gets back to us really quickly. The only "issue" is sometimes when we give a list of things to adjust (add, change, remove to sales plan/variations) things get missed. But I'm a pretty patient/understanding/forgiving person, so it doesn't bother me too much. As long as it gets fixed. Though the rest of the building process will test me, I'm sure! Haha! Fingers crossed for a seamless building process for us all! I don't know anything about electrical/lights. What do you think of our electrical plan as it is atm? I would like to put pendants everywhere, hehe, though will probably only have pendants above the kitchen island. Thanks! Yup - we're having polished concrete. Went to the polished concrete company's showroom last week to talk over everything and work out exactly what we want. We're aiming for a Mechanical Polish, Nil Exposure, Matte Finish floor. To my understanding early saw cuts are to control shrinkage cracks, so doing them now would be pointless. Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 9863 Hi all I need a guidance on how far I need to space expansion joints in the concrete driveway and its type (keyway/foam.) Contraction joints are at 3m max for a 125 slab. Thanks 0 10943 |
