I'm building the Enigma 36. I can't remember exactly but it was approximately $3500K extra per bathroom for standard tiles
Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Mojo Homes 862Mar 08, 2017 9:48 am onggie So an update on my progress, building the Shieke Facade did my colours the other week. No issues on my end, I guess everything needs to be in writing people. Everything that was ambiguous has been rectified and we are super happy with the outcome. Word of advice is to stay calm and get everything in writing. Remember the people you deal with aren't generally the people that make the rules, they just follow them. If you are polite and nice, they will be willing to go the extra mile for you. Colours was an awesome experience, we weren't rushed and it helped the girl that dealt with us was on the same page. We ended up spending a lot more than we wanted to, but everything was money well spent. I don't want to give out names of the people we have dealt with as I wouldn't want my name on a public forum. Take everything with a grain of salt, there is a lot of hate especially from what I hear is on Facebook. People are quick to jump on the hate band wagon but never go the extra step to sing praise. Hi Onggie So glad to hear you had such a good experience. We've had one really bad one so far and we were pretty scarred by it but so far our CLO and new contact person has been really helpful so I'm hopeful and feeling a bit more positive. Our colors is tomorrow. We are freaking out as we are undecided about a few things. Any other tips? Would really appreciate it! Re: Mojo Homes 863Mar 08, 2017 7:53 pm We are building Enigma 36 at Ryde, our plans has been submitted to council over a month ago. But council is not allowing us to remove 2 trees in our front yard because they are large and healthy... if the trees dont get removed then the plan will need to get updated, this could drag beyond our tender expiry date and most importantly it will be very different from our dream home =(. Anyone has any recommendation on what we should do to help getting the tree removal approved? Re: Mojo Homes 864Mar 08, 2017 11:24 pm There's a mob called Sydney tree company They have alot of knowledge, you may not be able to get the tree removed for the new house development. consider seeing if they can remove it due to how it affects the current homes foundations being ryde i take it you are doing a kdr?? .. Regardless its going $$. Ive heard of situations where the owners have paid to move them or have replanted 5m+ established trees elsewhere on the block. Unfortunately the good old days of my block i do what i want with it are over. Trees are assets and we need to preserve them where possible as our local ecosystems need them! Fyi Kellyville req 2 trees be planted per block. Im yet to see a block with one 2m tree visible as per dcp. We are doing cut and fill worried about the stormwater costs blowing out. What would they be? We need a report for our KDRB too and worried about the same thing. Let us know your outcome, you are a little ahead of our progress. Thanks Re: Mojo Homes 878Mar 20, 2017 2:53 pm I have posted in "Product review com au" our horrendous experience with Mojo Homes called 'Enigma 41 - paperwork still going'. Please have a read and consider your options. Re: Mojo Homes 879Mar 20, 2017 5:58 pm While I sympathize I can understand the price increases. Building materials are much more expensive now, traddies are more expensive and your general inflation needs to be accounted for. While a 33k increase is quite expensive, they are in the business of making money. While I don't have a whole lot to say about Mojo yet, our experince has been positive. In terms of your contract and it's expiration, did you you look back at all your emails and count the amount of business days it took to respond and totalled them (exclude a day for each email to respond to)? Just curious whether that has been factored in? Re: Mojo Homes 880Mar 20, 2017 6:28 pm HopelessRomantic I have posted in "Product review com au" our horrendous experience with Mojo Homes called 'Enigma 41 - paperwork still going'. Please have a read and consider your options. Sorry to hear about your experiences. I wonder if all major builders are this bad at this time of construction boom. It appears that they have too many jobs in the pipeline and now no longer reluctant to charge price increases even if they are at fault. Seriously reconsider going ahead with them unless they completely waive the increase. My own experience has been similar during admin. Do not expect things to get easier during build. We are waiting for our 4th site supervisor to be assigned. Is anyone building with Mojo and have a recent site cost tender 0 12280 Hi all, We are considering Enigma 46 from Mojo Homes in Gables, NSW. Has anyone built with Mojo and any pointers and feedback. Also, if anyone has built similar design… 0 9789 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 47657 |
