Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 06, 2017 12:37 am Hi everyone just joined after seeing lots of topics from the page come up in google. We are currently looking at display homes, mainly hickinbotham. But can across a big problem. The block we have a hold on has a 4 metre easement at the rear meaning our designs we like from hickinbotham will not fit ? However, we have found the perfect plan buts it's a statemans plan. We have really got to know our sales rep from hickinbotham and really want to stay with her. So my question is, is hickinbotham able to use a statesman plan seeing they are really the same company or is this a big fat no due to copyrights Re: Statesman & hickinbotham plans 3Mar 06, 2017 8:46 am Quite apart from all the other issues (including copyright), you also don't want to try to get a non-custom builder to build to a plan that isn't one of their standard offerings. It won't end well. Re: Statesman & hickinbotham plans 5Mar 06, 2017 9:19 pm I would just go with Statesman, and bring the quote along so that they can match it. Theres not much point in staying with the Hickinbotham for the 1 sales person, they are only there until your build starts. If you do switch over to Statesman, both myself and nicoledee had really good experiences with our sales consultants if you need a recommendation. And as HFBMPC mentioned, the sales person is really not involved once your sign your papers and finalise your plans. Re: Statesman & hickinbotham plans 7Mar 20, 2017 8:42 am joey77 i will send you a private message - my sales consultant was honestly incredible. I sent him a three page document FULL of questions and he answered them all within 24 hours. Normally sales consultants are only with you for the first part - but ours has been with us through and through, checking in with us for updates etc. I highly recommend him!! Re: Statesman & hickinbotham plans 13May 28, 2017 10:30 pm I just looked it up, it is stunning. Love the kitchen/pantry and the living and dining area L shape. Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck.
