I had gone through several variations, colour and electrical appointment and was ready to lodge a few months before registration. When the land was registered my builder surveyed and checked soil and price came down as the tender we had allowed for a higher type of soil. Don't worry to much about what amazing packages they offer in order to lock you in the next package will be just as good.
