Is there any chance of the cost quoted on tender change after the land registers? If yes, what is the benefit of getting tender prior rego? Fowler offered 450 days tender (9 months extention + their usual 6 months, total 15 months) for $3000. However I am not sure if all cost that will quoted in tender are final or not The tender price is not final. It depends what you choose as well during your appointments. If you upgraded for instance your kitchen, tiles, carpets etc they will be adjusted as a Post Contract Variation. The benefits of getting the tender done prior to registration is that the file will be ready to go Post registration and settlement so there will not be a delay in getting your plans through either council if it's not CDC complaint or CDC. Our builder Eden Brae has offered us a fixed price contract. It simply gives you a piece of mind. Hope that helps Kind Regards, Bruce "Building an Eden Brae Waldorf 50 in North Kellyville" Blog: http://waldorf50.blogspot.com.au Re: Tender before land registration ? How to get the cost fi 5Mar 02, 2017 6:31 am When you decide on a plan and builder I think it's best to get your tender prior registration. I had gone through several variations, colour and electrical appointment and was ready to lodge a few months before registration. When the land was registered my builder surveyed and checked soil and price came down as the tender we had allowed for a higher type of soil. When settlement was complete my plans were lodged to council immediately. I didn't have to worry about price increases as they were locked in at tender stage, Re: Tender before land registration ? Don't worry to much about what amazing packages they offer in order to lock you in the next package will be just as good. If you can get the tender date extended that would be worth doing otherwise wait till your a bit closer to registration Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense.
