Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Metricon build - help please 4Feb 26, 2017 12:01 pm Wow 60k for upgrades? I'd check out granvue homes they do knock downs and rebuilds. Yeah you might loose $1,500 but think of the savings when you compare all the standards with granvue which are considered upgrades with Metricon. We lost 2k with mimosa Acer switching to granvue but we got a bigger house and all the standard inclusions ending up working out cheaper in the long run. Make sure you know what your in for before proceeding to contract signing stage Re: Metricon build - help please 5Feb 28, 2017 9:55 pm nixmal Hi, first timer here. We are planning a knockdown rebuild and have started scouting potential builders and are leaning towards Metricon. We were given approximate quote of base home price plus 70 000 for demolition, curtains and landscaping plus to allow 60 000 for extras (am assuming incidentals and furnishings). I understand final quote is provided after the deposit of $1500 is paid but we are trying to figure out if this is a realistic estimate?
