Having never purchased or built a house before, having never had a mortgage before, I don't know how any of this works, except to say that my lender confirmed to me in writing on Friday last week that he needs to receive the FHOG before he can book in the land settlement with himself, vendor's solicitor, and purchaser's (my) solicitor. And that is all supposed to happen next Thursday.
To my mind that indicates he will receive and use the FHOG for part of the land purchase funds?
But truly, what would I know, I'm very new to this and just following my lender's guidance
