Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Village Square Edmondson Park Stage 16 707Feb 17, 2017 10:23 am My drawing had them shown on it. They are on either side of my lot along the fence line. After looking at all the lots mine has one of the biggest slops on it. Its the one in just to the right and in front of the retension along Sammarah Road. Re: Village Square Edmondson Park Stage 16 708Feb 17, 2017 10:26 am I got to build that at one side as wall and I have been told that I can get someone to build that. I'm just wondering when I should do that? I'll check with my builder. Askarabbas, check with your builder - you could be lucky! Re: Village Square Edmondson Park Stage 16 709Feb 17, 2017 10:46 am Yeah could be, I've got all the variations done but no mention of retaining wall any where. I don't believe any one would be lucky with the builders. They get it done in some way or other Re: Village Square Edmondson Park Stage 16 711Feb 17, 2017 1:08 pm still waiting for variations..and deciding on bricks. on my plans it says retaining wall to be done post handover so probably get the fencing dude to do it in one hit Re: Village Square Edmondson Park Stage 16 713Feb 17, 2017 4:32 pm sam_sc Thats not a bad idea - but do fencing ppl do retaining walls? yeh they usually do...one of my mates just finished building and fencing guy did both. Village Square Edmondson Park Stage 16 714Feb 18, 2017 8:54 am Very slow progress. Final plans are still 4-6weeks away. Doesn't look like the slab will be poured before April/May.... it will be almost 3yrs from original purchase date by the time we move in by the looks of it... Thats good to know - can knock off both together Re: Village Square Edmondson Park Stage 16 716Feb 21, 2017 9:10 pm Visited my land on the last weekend, still only 1 house is under the construction. In addition, I saw there is a potable toilet dropped on one of the land, assume it will be the 2nd one to start construction. The street name of my land is really confusion, it says "Antwerp ave" on the contract, council had "Antwerp ave" sign on the entrance of the street as well, but all the latest documents from builder and bank show "Lacey Road". When I passed stage 14&15, I saw lots of construction waste were dumped on the vacant lands, feel sorry for the land owners who have to pay waste collection fee. Hope it won't happen in our stage. Re: Village Square Edmondson Park Stage 16 717Feb 21, 2017 10:27 pm Yes, the street was registered as Lacey Road (per council documents) but the sign on site remains Antwerp Ave. My builders apparently have done some enquiries and they told me Lacey Road should be the right name. My bank is also waiting for the correct street name before they issue Authority to Construct What a confusion galore! My bank is also waiting for the correct street name before they issue Authority to Construct What a confusion galore! What kind of sheet are you referring to? Cos I might have to face the same issue very soon. Re: Village Square Edmondson Park Stage 16 719Feb 22, 2017 8:43 am That's right, Lacey road is the correct and new name. Not sure when the council will update the street signs. Re: Village Square Edmondson Park Stage 16 720Feb 22, 2017 9:41 am Yeah hate this street name change thing. My idiot lender has delayed the process as a result too. This should be handled by bank better imo. Rather than use street addresses, use DP and lot numbers since the street names cannot be guaranteed. No idea about the driveway question, but your price for a house that size including landscaping seems very good! 1 6174 Not unless you have managed to put it as a special condition into the contract somehow. 1 6158 |
