The alfresco stays heaps cleaner now too. Our dogs are loving it. The grass is kikuyu. Ideally I would have liked the front yard done and finished first but we had to put turf down out the back for the dogs asap. We have also done a little garden bed under our retaining wall out the front and put in the drainage rock and ag pipe. This landscaping business is such a long process...I just want to put my gardens in already! Lol. The succulent garden out the back has really started taken off. I will share some more pics once it's thriving ☺ My Homeone Thread - Re: Hunter Valley Build -Post Handover Journey Begins :) 894Feb 20, 2017 4:56 pm DreamHome2point0 It's wonderful looking out the back now and seeing beautiful green grass instead of dirt. Re: Hunter Valley Build -Post Handover Journey Begins :) 897Mar 06, 2017 11:44 am Just thought that I'd post a quick update... Haven't heard boo from Oracle in regards to our maintenance list 😒. I have emailed them twice in the past month with no response from them at all, and hubs has tried to call ss countless times with no return phone call. Not sure what's going on there but I have been more than patient with them... On the up side all of the recent rain has been great for our turf out the back. It's looking very well established now, and has proven to be fast growing and repairs easily, which is what we need for our fur babies who occasionally rip it up whilst sprinting around the yard. I can't get mad when they are having so much fun 😁 Also, due to the weather we are making slow progress with the front landscaping. Over the weekend we finally manged to finish off our stairs -yay, at last! Next on the list is the second wall/garden bed out the front. Can't wait to see some green out there 🏡 My Homeone Thread - Re: Hunter Valley Build -Post Handover Journey Begins :) 899Mar 06, 2017 11:56 am Its looking great DH! I know what you mean about the rain.. hubby took last week and this off to do landscaping but is having trouble getting anything done with the ground being so wet. Thats no good about the builder.. Do you have much on your defects list? _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Hunter Valley Build -Post Handover Journey Begins :) 900Mar 06, 2017 12:16 pm Thanks Ryalls, we've just been slowly chipping away at it when we can, when it's not bucketing down. Oh that worked out terribly with having time off to do the yard but not being able to because of the **** weather. Hopefully we have some cooler, non rainy days ahead to get some work done. Our list isn't that big... Change shower screens to semi frameless, seal both baths and bathrooms, change tap mixers in ensuite to correct mixers, fix slab out the back (chunk missing) replace 6 kitchen handles, install door latch on front door, water damage to window frames, groutung in main bath...ok so now that I'm going through the list I have quite a bit... What do you suggest that I do? Send another email with photos? Not sure when it would be appropriate to contact fair trading?
