We are going to be on the final part of Willowdale Drive. My husband says it's embarrassing living on Willowdale Drive in the Willowdale estate but I'm pretty happy. And it's easy to spell Hi Jenifermarie, I got the update too for stage 14. What I don't understand is that if all the earthworks is complete then what other construction is pending. And what's causing the delay in settlement to May/June 2017? Do you have any idea? It still has to go through council to register the subdivision to create individual lots which I would guess takes a while if it takes 2 months just to get house plans through council. Apart from that I'm not really sure. We were down there on Saturday and saw streetlights are going up so we couldn't figure out what else was left after that. Can't please everyone! He is still agitated about the water detention pit opposite our house that Stockland didn't tell us about. My jokes about it being like the pit in Parks and Recreation don't go down well with him. Thanks for that! Re: Building at Willowdale 2873Feb 14, 2017 2:54 pm SkB Hi Jenifermarie, Regarding water detention, are you referring to the water pond opposite lot 1400, 1402 & 1403 on Willowdale drive? No this is opposite lots 1505-1509. Re: Building at Willowdale 2874Feb 16, 2017 7:23 am Just quietly, the workers gates were open last night & we snuck through to see our block. I must say we are quite surprised with how fast things have been progressing, roads are almost done & facilities access is almost complete. Things are getting real now Re: Building at Willowdale 2875Feb 16, 2017 7:25 am zoeebabyy Just quietly, the workers gates were open last night & we snuck through to see our block. Re: Building at Willowdale 2876Feb 17, 2017 5:52 pm Has anyone considered getting an independent inspector to walk through their build at all stages, or at least considered one for the final walk through? If so, which option? Any thoughts/comments/suggestions/recommendations? If so, which option? Any thoughts/comments/suggestions/recommendations? We are planning on getting an inspector - I've seen HK Ryan and Houspect recommended quite a bit on the forum. One of them offers a discount if you mention the forum but I forget which one. We are planning on getting a pre linings inspection where they will check frame, brickwork, roof, electrical then a PCI inspection. Our builder only allows 2 inspections but I've read those two are sufficient. I just want the peace of mind that an expert has checked it over. Ditto; as well as wet area inspections at waterproofing stage (before tiling) by a specific waterproofing inspector. They have all the tools to check the thickness & appropriate type of waterproofing has been used etc, as well as the clout to report & recommend if it isn't to AStandard. All the best with it guys Re: Building at Willowdale 2879Feb 18, 2017 11:08 am PixiGT Jenifermarie ChristineA Has anyone considered getting an independent inspector to walk through their build at all stages, or at least considered one for the final walk through? The builder is offering SARKING & R4 GLASSWOOL BATTS to the ceiling; however they've suggested installing the ANTICON blanket as well at extra cost. Could you please advise if ANTICON blanket is required along with R4 GLASSWOOL BATT & SARKING? Has anybody installed the ANTICON blanket under their colorbond roof?
