Did you make any changes to your plan after flipping it? Following along GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643 Very nice! Do you have photos of your colour selections? My poor consultant too, she openly told me I was the most difficult customer she has ever dealt with now I deal with the franchise owner lol Bring on 8 days GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643 Haha! Nice effort, my kids school teachers say the same thing to me! But they all know i come from a good place. My sales consultant was very easy going so he didn't mind... Maybe his wife was fussy too?! I do have the colours but I have my baby asleep on my lap so I will take photos of the tiles and colours in the morning. I went very simple. My style changes often so I wanted a neutral look. Yes bring it on!! Re: Our Coral Build! Santorini 26 12Jan 30, 2017 9:11 pm Oh so exciting not long now! The administration side of things felt like it took forever and I thought the start would never come. Now I feel all of the positive happy vibes again! Re: Our Coral Build! Santorini 26 14Jan 31, 2017 7:57 am I have taken some photos of our colours. Our colour choices were a compromise between hubby and myself. My husband is the brickie and he is very fussy about the brickwork and he doesn't like how certain bricks turn out. He is over the moon I settled on alpine although I liked wintergold better. I also wanted the colour products that was in budget as I wanted to spend extra inside on other bits and pieces else where. Santorini 26 15Jan 31, 2017 2:25 pm CoralSantorini26 Our electrical plan We added $5000 for variations for our electrical in our contract and it still wasn't enough to cover everything. We had an additional variation of $1900. We are supplying 8 fans, 30 down lights and 4 pendants. Our sales consultant was shocked as he thought $5000 would cover it. I was shocked too. At the end of the day we have everything we wanted and a few extra nice bits, like 2 dimmers, pendants and a fancy switch in the media and plenty of power points. We have been told about alternative options of getting an electrician in after hand over, but we were not really keen on that idea as we have young kids. Hubby would like to be able to get the keys at hand over with the finished product! Haha let's see how it goes!! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Their electrical is expensive, we supplied our own downlights/fans as our local lighting place gave us trade prices so it was much cheaper too! Also when it comes time the electrican will go through with you and you can add additional things/move points etc when you actually have walls up which is much easier. Good luck, the wait is some ways the best part! Coral Homes Avoca 25 viewtopic.php?t=85760 Re: Our Coral Build! Santorini 26 16Feb 01, 2017 3:14 pm Very lovely colours, can't wait to see them come together They are very neutral that way you can change accessories to give it a whole new look when you want. I went with dark moody bathrooms, hopefully it pays off GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643 Re: Our Coral Build! Santorini 26 17Feb 01, 2017 4:31 pm Thanks Charli, One wall in the bathroom with be the darker tile and the rest the neutral. I have a pendant also going in the bathroom. I like moody bathrooms too, but hubby likes it light and white. I am hoping it will swing my way... I dress the bathrooms up with fancy towels and a plant etc. I really hope it comes together nicely. I haven't chooses a pendant yet for the bathroom... Still trying to work out what would suit. Any suggestions would be AMAZING!!! Re: Our Coral Build! Santorini 26 18Feb 01, 2017 4:38 pm At least you won't need second guess your choices like I have for the past 18 months We will have a pendant in our bathroom too just to try and make it a bit more glamorous too. We well I mean I chose a three tier a glass tear drop pendant Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Not the greatest photo but this it the bathroom pendant hanging in the store GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643 Re: Our Coral Build! Santorini 26 20Feb 01, 2017 5:06 pm I would love pendants in the kitchen but we are having a timber slatted wall not far from our kitchen and I just though it could look a bit too busy so decided against it. Are you having pendants in the kitchen? This is the wall we are having, the last photo is from the display house photo so you can see the proximity to the kitchen Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ GJ Gardner Modified Coolum 277 viewtopic.php?t=83643 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 14507 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4381 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 18875 |
