Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 19, 2017 5:36 am Good morning we have removed wallpaper from gyprock walls which were not prepped before hand and we have done our best but there are gouges in the walls that our plasterer says he cannot plaster over as he won't get a smooth finish for painting so recommends we rip the walls out and resheet. We are selling and would prefer not to have that expense. Any ideas? Textured paint we thought about but aren't sure. Help!! Re: Gyprock walls 2Jan 19, 2017 9:52 am I think that a new skim plaster coat over the entire wall is the best option. Replacing plasterboard sheets may involve replacing skirtings, architraves and even require an electrician to remove and replace power points and light switches. Nope, only on the inside, I've literally has my ears to the brick outside and can't hear anything. I can sort of 'reset' the noise by pressing firmly on the studs. This… 10 13925 Oh no! I would use a can of expandable foam ( there are some that will take render) then cut it back and render over the top 1 4969 |
