Thank goodness, as the loan wouldn't have been finalized in time to settle the land. They also said we can apply for an extension if the house component of the loan isn't ready as long as we provide evidence that we are not holding it up. So relieved. It is tight on time. Coral Homes - Modified Grange 23 My Thread: viewtopic.php?t=85959 Oh that is good ![]() ![]() ![]() It's definitely worth asking. Our bank said they won't process the land part without the house part. Coral said they won't start anything until they can access the land. Our land contract states settlement has to be 2 weeks after registration. Registration is due on 20th. Coral Homes - Modified Grange 23 My Thread: viewtopic.php?t=85959 Re: First Home- Coral Homes- Modified Grange 23 26Jan 20, 2017 2:13 pm No news on land registration today. Not sure if I should be upset that it's delayed, or happy because it gives us more time to sort out the contract for the loan. Looks like registration is delayed. Thought this would help with getting our loan on track but nope, they still have us down to provide the finance even though the land won't register for another month! Frustrated to find that Coral didn't access the land even though we organised for them to go in early. This means we are no closer to getting our tender letter and therefore the contact for the loan. 😠 Coral Homes - Modified Grange 23 My Thread: viewtopic.php?t=85959 Re: First Home- Coral Homes- Modified Grange 23 29Jan 22, 2017 4:36 pm ![]() Stopped in at the sales office today. We asked them to take 2 out on one side and fit a bench instead, no cupboards under, 2 shelves above. The bench is laminated and 1400 long. We also made the pantry bigger. All up we've been quoted a $855 allowance. Coral Homes - Modified Grange 23 My Thread: viewtopic.php?t=85959 Re: First Home- Coral Homes- Modified Grange 23 31Jan 22, 2017 6:46 pm Thankyou. We didn't like the thick shelves but the melamine skinny ones were $$$ thinking of doing it ourselves with shelves one wall and bench and shelves on other two to fit our freezer under one & bar fridge under other. So confusing sometimes which is the best $ wise. ![]() ![]() Re: First Home- Coral Homes- Modified Grange 23 32Jan 22, 2017 6:52 pm No i haven't! Would love to see though. We're putting our bar fridge and freezer under our bench. Lol great minds. We're going with the standard shelves for now. We thought it was something we can upgrade later if we want too. They've quoted $80 which surprised us, thought it would be a lot more, so we've added an extra to the fridge bay in the kitchen too! Won't see it once the fridge is in but with a plumbed fridge I've seen first hand the water damage that can be done if the hose pops off! Wouldn't be without it! Coral Homes - Modified Grange 23 My Thread: viewtopic.php?t=85959 Re: First Home- Coral Homes- Modified Grange 23 39Feb 04, 2017 1:48 pm Soil test completed on Wednesday!!!! Still waiting for results but we've ordered the tender letter now so we're in the queue. Also been told Coral have changed their intial deposit from $1750 to $2750. Has been increased so you get plans before contract is signed and not after. They are hoping this leads to less variations required. Our SC said we may be exempt as we paid before new year, but we've opted to pay to get the plans earlier. Landscape quote has come in at $15,500. That's nothing fancy, just meeting covenant and adding a gazebo! Can't wait to finally have a figure for the build and we actually know how much we're in for!!! Coral Homes - Modified Grange 23 My Thread: viewtopic.php?t=85959 Re: First Home- Coral Homes- Modified Grange 23 40Feb 04, 2017 7:13 pm Yaay that's exciting. We are waiting on our contracts due end of next wk hoping it's similar to our tender ![]() ![]() Hi so sorry for the late reply. I already contacted them and they wouldn't tell me instead they tried to get me to talk to one of their home coordinators and I'm not… 2 6678 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 15191 ![]() So it seems like they just take on a lot of projects to get the cashflow for their own builds. COULDN'T AGREE MORE 14 46632 |
