Thank you so much. It is Beechwoodhomes.com.au I will update you how I progress. At this stage I am still trying to find a right building company and a right design for me. What would be ideal design for me is 2 storey house that has a master bedroom downstairs, or a single storey house that has a granny flat/teenage retreat upstairs. Mum is 82 and she needs to live downstairs. I love views so upstairs would be nice for me. If any one has seen/known such design please l would be grateful to know. Thanks Re: Building At Macarthur Heights (UWS Campbelltown) 109Jan 08, 2017 8:48 am Have found DUO design from MJH that is very nice. Also noted Symphony Twin from Masterton. But the Symphony Twin design does not have internal access from the main house to the granny flat. Has any one had experience with granny flat under one roof? I probably will go with MJH. Will post updates for people who are interested. Likewise any advices would be appreciated. By the time we got the selections stage the build was going to cost almost $500K and that did not include flooring. We found they mark up where quite steep - 12K to upgrade to a different level of caeserstone in the kitchen even though caeserstone was included in our base cost. They are also not as flexible with their plans. We were told a different storey when we first consulted with them. We paid $3,500.00 to them and due to the continued delays with the land being registered they were going slug us with thousands in fees. We decided to cut our losses and not sign the contract. We are now going through Fairmont Homes with a custom build which is not going to cost anymore than MJH. The design process so far has been fun and cannot wait to see the finished product of a home we designed ourselves from scratch. It is frustrating though that the registration date is continually being pushed back. Good luck with your build.
