Have read that they are much harder to keep clean. Am very keen on getting them but worried about the up keep. I was also worried about this after selecting fresh concrete. The ceaserstone sales staff actually warned me against it. They said the raw concrete on display is always streaks, even when cleaned with streak free windex! The fresh concrete being white I think would be lower maintenance than the raw and sleek, streak-wise. I moved in to my place a week ago and can't say I've done much cooking so far (!) but the concrete is the least of my worries! The Raven on the other hand is horrendous. Everything shows up on it!! Most things come off the concrete with the ceaserstone cleaning products super easily. The cream cleanser is gold. Fresh concrete, Raw Concrete 5Jan 21, 2017 7:02 am We are also looking at these two caesarstones to go with dark floors and white cupboards. Looking at the pic above raw might be a bit too grey against white but it looks nice. Fresh might be the way to go but anymore pics would be appreciated. Re: Caesarstone. Fresh concrete, Raw Concrete 6Feb 04, 2017 6:44 pm Here is our kitchen with Fresh Concrete, white cabinets and a dark floor. Glass splashback is Gun Metal grey. Sorry pics are a tad dark. Re streaking, yes you can notice streak marks, according to my stone mason this is common for all the more matt finish Caesarstone colours. I thought sleek was the darker grey, raw is the lighter and fresh is white.... Looks nice!! That's the colour my husband wanted C U S T O M. C O R A L. Fresh concrete, Raw Concrete 9Jul 27, 2017 12:23 pm MrsJM - how's the fresh concrete going? Are you still happy with it? Does it mark with grease (from butter etc), and if watermarks darken it, how long for it do you have to scrub it out?? There is so much conflicting information given - my mind boggles!! 😅 I was wanting to go with a more Matt finish as to me glossy benchtops show up all sorts of smudges and fingerprints, so now I'm all confused! Re: Caesarstone. Fresh concrete, Raw Concrete 10Jul 27, 2017 3:42 pm i had sleek concrete in my last kitchen, the colour is nice, but harder to get marks / smudges off for sure, now in a new place and just finished my kitchen with calcutta nuvo, polished is so much easier to keep clean! I still like it- anything stubborn comes right off with jif. But most things don't need it. Biggest pain is the Sh!tty installers left silicone all over it so I'm still trying to get that off. Sometimes it looks clean from one angle then I come back later in the day in different light and have to clean it again. Still not as bad as Raven. That bench is like having a newborn! I think it's only manageable because it's light. I think the raw and Sleek would be much much much higher maintenance and less forgiving. I have noble grey in my bathrooms and that's super easy to maintain M Y C U S T O M C O R A L B R O N T E 43 ...............Kitchen! 16 Nov 2016 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=79581 Re: Caesarstone. Once a week we give it a proper clean using Jiff (which is essentially what the OEM cleaner is) and it comes up as good as new. Until the next time we wipe it down with spray and wipe or similar (because be buggered using Jiff everytime). Hi all I need a guidance on how far I need to space expansion joints in the concrete driveway and its type (keyway/foam.) Contraction joints are at 3m max for a 125 slab. Thanks 0 11018 I couldn't attached the photo for some reason. Here is the link to the photo https://pin.it/79jwdMp 1 3163 |
