Hope that helps buildingourhumblehome.blogspot.com.au Re: Any one building in Newbrook Estate Near Campbelltown NS 87Jan 16, 2017 4:42 pm Hi Guys, Handover of our build in Newbrook will be in the 6 weeks time. Fencing and part of Landscaping is not included in our contract with the builder. We would like to ask those who have moved in about the process of moving in. Can we move to the property legally without Fence and only part of landscape plan is done (grass only)? How much will be the fencing cost usual? Appreciate if you could recommend reliable fencing and landscaping provider. Thanks. Re: Any one building in Newbrook Estate Near Campbelltown NS 88Jan 16, 2017 8:44 pm Congrats Yonas Have moved in 8 weeks ago ended up having lots of issues with Stroud Homes lesson learnt should of looked at a display home first and we had our fences up our neighbours homes started prob two months after ours and both were finished prior to ours so both sides were done our expense was 7300 including retaining wall on right side and one in the middle of the yard which was not on our plans and is part of our issue with the builder No landscaping was done front and back we have done it ourselves prob spent around 10000 including clearing and scraping the block front and back turf underlay, turf, cement path on right side ,crushed rock the other We didn't buy of Landcom but privately so not entitled to rebate I wouldn't think either not having fences or landscaping would stop you moving in Re: Any one building in Newbrook Estate Near Campbelltown NS 89Jan 16, 2017 9:21 pm Yes , I moved in without fence too and it took 3 week to complete my fencing ( it was done over Christmas break ) all other landscaping including front retaining is still remaining .. I am going on my own pace ... Re: Any one building in Newbrook Estate Near Campbelltown NS 90Jan 17, 2017 6:30 am Sad to hear that you've issues with Stroud Homes Wendy. I walked away from Stroud Homes and build with King Homes as I remember you're the one suggested that builder. I lost around $3000 deposit with Stroud but I think still a good decision for me. Before signing my contract with Stroud I got a chance to meet one of the house owner who was building with Stroud Homes in Minto. They have too many issues, 3 to 4 months delay, unexpected finishing fixture, small kithchen, low capacity AC and it cost them big amount of money to upgrade. So far I am happy with King Homes, Mark the director is very considerate. He always suggest what is best for us and I couldn't believe how fast they are working for a 2 storey house from plan approval up to now. Plan was approved in 2 weeks right after the land registration via private certifier, slab was poured on Oct 22 and probably build will be completed end of February. If you like to see King Homes build you can visit my place, the first 2 storey house in Jensen Way. Wendy, you spent $7000 for fencing and 10000 for landscape? Would you mind to give the details of the landscaper and fencing company. Hi imra, have you got a qoute for your fencing cost? I probably move like you guys, without fence and landscape then do it little by little. As I remember you're the one Re: Any one building in Newbrook Estate Near Campbelltown NS 91Jan 17, 2017 6:52 am Fencing was done by Local Fencing pty ltd our neighbour was already using this company price included a retaining wall in backyard of 1700 which we didn't want and removed ourselves in the end because the fencer and Freddie both blamed each other on the position and wanted to charge 700 to take it down I wouldn't use as they also went through two pipes which the plumber had to fix Landscaping is just myself and hubby doing bit by bit but we paid to have concrete path on the side and a small slab at the back cause we have a spa to set up eventually total was around 4000 Even though you lost a deposit you were better off not to go with Stroud you made the right choice our issues are driveway not poured to plan plus finishes inside the house but of cause Freddie is no where to be seen Narellan sand and soil is who we have used for landscaping Re: Any one building in Newbrook Estate Near Campbelltown NS 92Jan 17, 2017 8:18 am I moved in just before the Christmas break. Had a retaining wall and block leveling done over the break. Layed my own grass over the weekend. Fingers crossed it takes because the topsoil provided by the guys who leveled my block Didn't look that good of quality. Plus this heat won't help. Two sides of my fence were already completed by Neighbours so I've got local fencing coming this week to finish off the right side. Thanks for the heads up Wendy. I'll keep an eye on there work. Re: Any one building in Newbrook Estate Near Campbelltown NS 93Jan 17, 2017 8:28 am Steve just prob let them know if it's near pipes but I'm happy with the fences and side retaining walls that they have done We ran short of grass for the front yard so will have some more delivered this week What we have put down is growing great so far but I have watered nearly every night Re: Any one building in Newbrook Estate Near Campbelltown NS 95Jan 17, 2017 8:54 am Hey guys, good to know you have moved in. Re: Any one building in Newbrook Estate Near Campbelltown NS 96Jan 17, 2017 9:27 am Hey Steve we went with Kikuyu it's been down since Saturday 7/1 it cost 4.00 a metre from Hawkesbury Turf Supplies but they have all types our house is 23 Kingsbury u can see half the front lawn cause we didn't order enough to finish Re: Any one building in Newbrook Estate Near Campbelltown NS 97Jan 17, 2017 9:33 am Hi Nkoc So far we have had no problems it's pretty quiet our backyard is on Georges river rd traffic not too bad we have met the neighbours all seem good both public and private once more people build here it will only get better Re: Any one building in Newbrook Estate Near Campbelltown NS 98Jan 17, 2017 10:33 am Hi all. Re: Any one building in Newbrook Estate Near Campbelltown NS 99Jan 17, 2017 11:36 am Hi Guys, I appreciate all your feedback with regards to landscaping, fencing and of course moving in. One thing I would also like to ask is about our utilities connection. How can we get the water and electricity be connected? Was it is being done being moving in? Thanks. Our standard double-glazed window is tested to achieve, Rw 34, and can be glazed to suit Rw 39. The price is good too... 3 9472 I had an old shower unit that broke on me and when I took it off, there were only 2 water pipes, instead of the normal 2 water pipes and a shower head pipe.
