Yep Blackwood and we went tiles in lounge & family rooms with dark (not quite black) grout after reading other posts here.
Did you talk to site supervisor or the tradies? I just organise with the tradies for anything small directly.

Re: Simonds Express Westbury Build 26Nov 18, 2016 7:56 am skinders78 when do you think you will be in ? Jan? Really hoping before xmas but still probably mid Jan. Supervisor is doing a really good job to get us there hopefully! It seems like its going so quick could expect for xmas though. Re: Simonds Express Westbury Build 27Nov 22, 2016 8:35 pm Few things happening! *Bricks been cleaned *We have downpipes *Tiling starting *Joinery complete just waiting on Kitchen benchtops (Ceaserstone). Gotta work out if we want to widen the driveway. Also a good addition found to add will be to dig some PVC in a trench under where the driveway will go for any future irrigation or such so will be there doing that this weekend! Are the tiles 300x300mm? Do you love the size? Wife and I are planning to do an express build next year, westbury on premium specs too. The only thing that bothers me is the tile size. I ask Simonds if we can upgrade the size to 450x450mm and as expected, it's a big "No". I prefer a 450mm tiles, I think it will compliment an open plan house well. Re: Simonds Express Westbury Build 31Nov 23, 2016 3:32 pm Ecko Any rough estimate on how much Simonds will charge us for this variation? It was approx. $4500 extra. We did push for and got a credit back for the carpet of approx. $1300. The credit for carpet wasn't on original contract so be sure to make sure they include it for you if you go that way. We're very suited to the Express build I think - like we just wanted "a house" not fussed about anything with it really. I do like the tiles and like others going with dark grout with these tiles. Looking at a black limestone paver for outside to match the look of inside.. Re: Simonds Express Westbury Build 33Nov 23, 2016 3:56 pm Thanks for the inputs, we will definitely take note of the price difference on the contract. In that way, we are looking around $3500 additional cost for the tile variation. Excited for your black limestone.. "Black is Beautiful" Re: Simonds Express Westbury Build 34Nov 29, 2016 10:58 pm More updates. Tiles still in progress, all going well. Were meant to finish today but I guess back tomorrow! Grouting meant to be finished tomorrow as well. Plumbers back on Thursday for fitout..
