Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building a Daydream 32 7Nov 12, 2016 1:05 pm Thanks for the heads up about the portico. It is very deceiving because in the website picture there is clearly space between the door/windows and the ceiling. It still looks fantastic though. I will have a read through your post. Thanks Re: Building a Daydream 32 9Nov 12, 2016 8:27 pm Hey GCGirl, I will be building a daydream 30, sometime in the new year. Waiting on land to register. We have decided not have a facade, as we couldn't justify the $12k for it. We feel it still looks good, just not as grand. We found that corals prices for changes, weren't too bad. We deleted the bath in our ensuite, and made a double shower, by memory it was only $1200 i think. Where abouts are you building? We haven't found the modifications to be too bad price wise either. The problem is when you have so many it does add up quickly. Our first quote was almost $100,000 more than the price listed on their website! Re: Building a Daydream 32 12Mar 08, 2017 7:27 am Thought I might update. Sadly we are still waiting for land to register (it's technically only a month/6 weeks behind schedule so I shouldn't complain). We have signed the contracts, paid the $5000 owner paid deposit and chosen the tiles and colours (I will update pictures etc when I get a chance). We did have a slight hiccup with one bank valuation on the land coming in almost $40,000 under but thankfully our broker found us an alternative bank and the loans for the house and land have been approved. Right now I am trying to sort through the electrical plan. My husband can't make any of the appointments due to his work. It was easy enough with the tiles and colours since we could visit the showrooms and luckily we have similar tastes but it is proving a little trickier with the electrics especially since I can see we will likely go over budget.
