This app is being weird and not showing my everyone's threads!!! Can't wait to see it all painted! What colour did you go with?? Lights are so expensive! I've found ours for the dining room but it's $1200! It's still quite far down the priority list Re: Alkimos Aveling first timers! 123Nov 05, 2016 10:22 pm Mon445 Congrats on keys!!! After continually swapping between southwards and kitty grey we are (lol, I) going with kitty grey but in dulux paint. I hope it's ok with the floor... where are u up to? Hopefully he will start the actual painting tomorrow... Other friend is going good with soakwells and starting to level and do some retaining steps for us out the very back. He's ordering fencing and gates tomorrow so should get that done or half done next week. Once floors are done by next Thursday and all front is secured we will move in. Sparky has done the exterior lights and we now have a feature downpipe.... Can't believe how similar Kitty Grey is to the colour we had in our last home! Good job I liked that! Flooring starts tomorrow which is exciting (hoping I don't get a call when they turn up at 645am to say the painter hasn't shifted all his gear from the floor...). Figure this will be the biggest change to see and I hope I like it! An exciting photo of one coat of kitty grey: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Alkimos Aveling first timers! 127Nov 14, 2016 10:25 pm Gotta love painting... Especially when someone else is doing it!!!! Re: Alkimos Aveling first timers! 135Nov 22, 2016 7:09 pm Bit of a drama with the pool install - hit cap rock. Brought in a mini rock breaker Saturday for 4 hours which barely dented it. So yesterday a big daddy excavator and rock breaker turned up and after 8 solid hours he made it to the right level! Lots of extra $$$$. Pool in today and all filled! Concrete beam and water feature being done later this week and extra paving booked for next week. Front fencing, gates, pool fencing and gates, window tinter, painter, solar panels all due in the next week. Have probably forgotten something or someone. My brain is mush and my inbox is full of invoices! Painter is back from Bali so I hope that's done by Monday... which probably means Wednesday! Pavers start Monday and are doing all around the pool and beyond to extend the al fresco paved area out to the far side. Apparently will only take three days. Landscaper should be doing the rear fake lawn area, as he's completed all the retaining to make it one level. He also needs to fit the gate to the dead side, after he finished the wide wing fencing and double gates plus retaining wall in the last few days. Blinds are being fitted Wednesday now I think which is great as we need to be in by Friday. The local recommended window tinter did a great job on the front windows and was so quick and cheap. Used 3M film too and a lifetime warranty. Below picture is of the water feature wall that the pool company built the other day. Pump etc will be tucked behind it. Got to find something I like to cover it now! Any suggestions?? I'd be out there scooping them out with my hands lol Sounds like a lot of progress for this week, fingers crossed everyone keeps to their timings I'd love to get some window tinting for privacy and heat, was it terribly expensive? Follow my build viewtopic.php?t=83885 Tempting! Painter is now delayed again... I think the paint will either still be wet when we start moving in on Thursday or he will be painting around us.. Windows at front x4 aren't big and they're just easy rectangles. Cost $260. Previous quote was $380 which I had thought was good since I had our two front doors privacy screened at our last house and that cost $500! 11 41668 Thank you. Do I use timber floorboards for stairs or do people use timber treads? Or is both the same? 6 7298 Can anyone give me any onfo on New Homes WA? Good or bad, hopefully good just need to know if my choice was good or not? Thanks ❤️ 0 8943 |
