Carpets installed and also Glass & Mirrors in ensuite and bathroom installed. Only remaining items are there are two missing pendant lights that didnt go back in after the lighting mishap and a general patch up & clean. The fence guys were on site yesterday afternoon also, the posts and frames were pretty much done but not the actual colorbond panels yet. We have also received the draft plan for the front landscaping back this morning so going to have a look at that and get that back to them asap so we hopefully have a front garden before Christmas! Re: Celebration Homes - Mason Green Piara Waters [Pre Handov 67Nov 08, 2016 11:31 am Fence done and pendant lights in. Pre Handover meeting was yesterday and only very minor things picked up. Only big mistake was one of my conduit points I had in the garage was used for the power, ie they missed one during rough in. Because its single brick and face brick the garage, they could cut up the wall in the hallway to do it but I agreed to just put an external conduit up the wall in the garage instead. Site supervisor was confident he could get all the minor stuff cleaned up this week so as long as the bank is on top of everything we should get keys Monday next week! Re: Celebration Homes - Mason Green Piara Waters [Awaiting K 68Nov 11, 2016 9:35 am Not sure we'll get keys Monday now. Found out yesterday that the bank had called Celebrations to organise a valuer inspection but they had not heard back from them in 2 days. As long as we get the keys by Thursday we aren't too fazed but that was a little disappointing. Re: Celebration Homes - Mason Green Piara Waters [Awaiting K 69Nov 16, 2016 5:46 pm Picking up the keys today woohooooooo Blinds still turning out to be more of a hassle than the house build has been. Re: Celebration Homes - Mason Green Piara Waters [Awaiting K 72Nov 21, 2016 3:19 pm Thanks! Moved in over the weekend and a few things went wrong most notably my brother running over the water meter, and then water corp moving it after we had all the plumbing on our side fixed. All the rooms and spaces feel alot bigger now we have some furniture in them too. Probably be unpacking for weeks so cant wait to be able to just live in the house and not have to worry about anything. Blinds should be installed on Thursday and then we have to start looking at getting some grass down out the back. Re: Celebration Homes - Mason Green Piara Waters [Moved In] 73Nov 21, 2016 3:37 pm Congrats on moving in! Those darn water meters. I ran over mine too. Ended up paying water corp a lot of money to sink it into the ground and put it in a metal box so I don't do it again. I still have a small leak on my side of the meter though. Really need to get a plumber out to fix it at some point. Pretty annoying water corp came in and moved it when we weren't there, they told us they were coming on Monday so we were gonna have a chat to them then about moving it out of the way, but now we will need to pay to get them out again if we want it moved. They also said it should really be over near the power dome not where it is anyway, is it the builder who put them there or the developer? Re: Celebration Homes - Mason Green Piara Waters [Moved In] 75Nov 21, 2016 4:01 pm Yeah, it's not cheap either. I forget the price to move it, but to sink it in a box it was $660. The developer set all of that out. The capped pipes were already there before titles and you can see where they are on the estate plans. I'm building with Celebrations as well, and just wondering how long they took from formal approval or settlement through til slab down? And how long from slab to handover? Just trying to get an idea of timeframes! Thanks in advance First home builder - Brightwood Estate, Baldivis. Celebration Homes. Just trying to get an idea of timeframes! Thanks in advance Hi! All going good! Stopped with the updates because I dont really want photos of my house now we have moved in up but we have got a heap of stuff done but still have a heap more to go! Still have boxes unpacked too but probably don't really need them if we havnt got into them yet I guess.. I have my full timeline on the first post if you want to see dates but in weeks it was Land Settlement to Slab 5 weeks and Slab to picking up our keys 20 weeks. We were really happy with the process and any minor issues we picked up during construction were fixed so make sure you get onto them if you think something isn't correct. You might think you dont have anything to do with brand new house but you will end up with a long to do list and other things will happen you didnt expect (your brother running over the water meter ) Re: Celebration Homes - Mason Green Piara Waters [Moved In] 80Feb 02, 2017 1:09 pm alexkrad Yeah save now while you can! You might think you dont have anything to do with brand new house but you will end up with a long to do list and other things will happen you didnt expect (your brother running over the water meter ) Yikes haha. Yeah hard to plan for those flattened water meters , but I do have a very long list of things to attend to and the costs add up fast! I'm probably going to have to finance the aircon so that I have the cash to take care of 100 other smaller things. First home builder - Brightwood Estate, Baldivis. Celebration Homes.
