Oh really... we took ours but they still have to do screens and render. We also discovered we cant connect washing machine as they need to drill a hole in the side of my cabinetry for laundry hoses to go through. Re: Modified Noosa 25 in Lake Macquarie 236Nov 03, 2016 6:49 pm So we still aren't in. Almost the whole house needs to be sanded and repainted. The painters came in to do the defects from PCI and pretty much made it 10x worse. Bubbles in the paint, bugs in the paint (they were painting until 7pm), poor coverage in some parts, even an area where the wall colour has been smudged onto the ceiling (right above where our bed will be going so would be really noticeable). On top of that we need the plumber to come back and re-set out bath. I don't really understand it but basically the bath was never correctly placed. You can literally grab both sides of the bath and move it around. So they have to remove some tiles from the side of the bath to set the bath properly and then replace the tiles from the side. On top of that there are tiles around the top of the bath which were never cut to the right size to begin with and need to be replaced also. Sounds easy right? Well it would be if they hadn't run out/lost the spare tiles. So we are now waiting for more tiles from the same batch to come from Adelaide. Apparently they were ordered on Tuesday and won't arrive until next Tuesday now Most recent update I've been given in that painters will come in either over the weekend or Monday, plumber will be in Monday and tiler, hopefully, will be there Wednesday (all depending on whether the tiles arrive). This will mean cleaner will come in Thursday and we need keys Thursday as we have already arranged our own cleaner to go through (builders clean isn't good enough for us to move into the house). We have booked a truck for the 12th, window coverings booked for 16th and we need to vacate the rental we are in before the 21st. I'm getting a little stressed as this is clearly not going as smoothly as we had hoped and I'm worried we are going to run short of time... How disappointing if coral will let you paint I'll drive up for the weekend!! One thing I will say for my father in law- he taught us how to sand and paint with gloss so that you can see your reflection in architraves! Hang in there- you're literally at the finish line. Just a teeny bit longer and you can put this behind you. Just keep on their backs with this stuff. Call and ask for updates as to when things are booked to be done.
