How much did you have to pay to upgrade from cat 1 to cat 2 stone for your kitchen and galley if you don't mind me asking? The Blanco maple looks very nice! We picked the blanco matrix but wouldnt mind upgrading to the maple if its not too expensive. The subway tiles on the kitchen as splashback looks good too! We actually are doing the same but we have the fishtank window similar to the display in Highgrove so the subway tiles will be around the rangehood. Did it cost anything to move the cabinetry to the galley? Did it cost anything to move the cabinetry to the galley? ill have a look through our contract now to upgrade the kitchen island, and the back bench was about $2800 and galley was $1900- so not cheap we kept the matrix in our bathroom, powder and ensuite. Yes the blanco masia is beautiful, its all through out the werribie display, we loved it. It was a very expensive upgrade though as we tiling the entire back wall for the splash back, plus the entire wall in our ensuite, and powder room.( it cost about $3200) I liked the idea of the window but just not the idea of cleaning it haha Are you moving your overheads also? Well there is a bit of a story about this, which i've posted on my topic. Just mindful that if they are switching the overheads, that they fit in the galley on both sides of your drawings, and they don't just put them along one wall. This happened to us and becasue our galley space ended up being bigger and the overheads were too short so they just 'decided for us' that they would cut them and only give us one wall....furious!! After several discussions around the overheads being moved with no issue, it was such a big problem. We got it fixed (after a second kitchen appt) and they covered the cost of the upgrade to the cabinet finish that we went with plus the extra material to fit full overhead cabinetry. Re: We are building VANCOUVER 33 with PORTER DAVIS 19Oct 25, 2016 1:16 pm Oh wow, that's not cheap. lol. Maybe we'll just stick to blanco matrix. We're trying to go for a french industrial theme so the detailed dots of blanco matrix sort of matches our flooring and cabinet colours. The overheads will just stay as is similar to the Highgrove except we are going for the canopy rangehood so the middle bit wont have overheads. Re cleaning the window, yea that's a good point, lol. Maybe we'll reconsider and go for the whole wall as subway tiles with dark grout, I love the look of it! Ps how's the facade waterside coming along? It looks good on the pics. I'm so glad we went for waterside! Re: We are building VANCOUVER 33 with PORTER DAVIS 20Oct 25, 2016 1:30 pm Sgene85 Oh wow, that's not cheap. lol. Maybe we'll just stick to blanco matrix. I'm so glad we went for waterside! No its not and yes that would defiantly suit. What kind of colour/finish are your cabinets? And yes we have the canopy ranghood too, thats the one flat to back wall and to the ceiling yeah? feeling like that with no overheads it going to be quite a stand out for us... also maybe a tad bare.. but we are thinking about some wooden shelves one on each side of the rangehood at eye level, possibly more decorative items than anything. Yes i love the dark grout i am kind of spewing we didnt do that, however i think given the shape of the masia tile and its rigid bumps black or dark grout could look extremely messy if that makes sense. The window always looks nice in the display but just like the glass splashback it would be a nightmare to keep clean. Yeh good, the bricks are all happening and suppose to be finished on wed, ill update another pic after its completed. we are going full front render and praying the colour comes out they way we want. what colour scheme did you choose?
