I also scared a little visitor - poor little blue tongue lizard - he was trying to climb a wall in my hallway so I picked him up & put him outside Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ View thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83776&start=80 Building SOR with Dreamstart Homes Customised Dream Dior/Summer Sensation https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83776 Re: Doing it again 205Oct 26, 2016 2:05 pm Clo emailed today to let me know that lockup is scheduled by end of this week & that cupboards should go in next week View thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83776&start=80 Building SOR with Dreamstart Homes Customised Dream Dior/Summer Sensation https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83776 Re: Doing it again 206Oct 27, 2016 6:39 pm Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Lock Up! Can't believe your nearly at lockup. Not nearly - it is at lockup Cabinetry should be going in this week. I can't wait to see how the kitchen cupboards look. It's so hard to visualise from the small piece of laminate they give you. Yesterday i was at the house with my trusty rakes, spade, fork and buckets raking up more limestone rocks. After finishing i stepped out how & where i want garden beds, paving, a standalone pergola or gazebo, lawn etc. After i'm in the house, the bf will help me mark it out properly with spray paint (helps that he's a rep for a spray paint company). I took my bf around to the house this morning. He hadn't seen it for 2 weeks and was quite impressed with it & with the speed it is going up. So by my calculations (& based on the estimate that ss gave me when i met him), pci could happen just before christmas break with handover occurring mid-late January... Or... they may just rush everything to have pci & handover before Christmas. My money is on end of January. But anything is possible. Either way, i have to start packing all my worldly possessions now. The tiles & grout for the bathrooms were also delivered as were the chrome wastes which were placed in situ. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ It was a Celebration Homes plan (the Oxford) built in 2010 and is on 582sqm. The roof & gutter is Colourbond Monument but can't remember the render colours. The pavers were pewter with limestone border. The garage is the caoba timberlook colour. The hedge along the top of the wall is pink flowering escallonia & across the front of the wall is viburnum tinus. On the other side of the driveway we had pink & white flowering hibiscus with alternating plantings of dietes grandiflora, 2 types of dianella, & some bush roses in various colours. I loved the house (hated the kitchen tho) and wanted to buy the ex out but he was being a d**k about it. I learned a lot from building the first house and although i couldn't have everything i wanted in my new place, i made sure not to make the same mistakes again with the plans etc. View thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83776&start=80 Building SOR with Dreamstart Homes Customised Dream Dior/Summer Sensation https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83776 Re: Doing it again 216Nov 05, 2016 10:31 am Thanks Dawn. At the time the garage door was part of their standard selections and i couldn't resist it In the estate this house & my current build are in, the fences, front landscaping & retic is included When this house was built we had a really nice selection of plants to choose from which included waterwise exotics as well as natives. Although i could have left the layout to the landscapers, i designed the front garden myself - they just did the hard work Unfortunately now, the selection of plants to choose from for my new house is limited to a small range of waterwise natives - the majority which i'm not particularly keen on guess i'll be providing my own plants for the front View thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83776&start=80 Building SOR with Dreamstart Homes Customised Dream Dior/Summer Sensation https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83776 Re: Doing it again 218Nov 05, 2016 8:42 pm Thanks. I think the gardens were my fave part of that house. Hope to make the gardens in my new place just as good if not better. My bf & i went to the site today. The floors in the bathrooms & laundry have been screeded. Didn't have my phone on hand as i didn't think anything was going to be done so no photos. And some of the bricks i painstakingly moved have been taken View thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83776&start=80 Building SOR with Dreamstart Homes Customised Dream Dior/Summer Sensation https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83776 Re: Doing it again 219Nov 06, 2016 5:35 pm The painters started today! Woohoo!! So I had a wander through the house and had a closer look at my cabinets! I love them! I found my 'missing' bricks too - they've been used for the shower hobs & bath.
