I had the luxury of cleaning my house this long weekend, which would save me $1500. BUT, I also discovered how badly my tiler grouted the tiles. With your shower corners, from where your wall tiles hit the floor tiles, will that remain grouted/cemented? Or will you silicone that joint? My builder said grouted, but I've also hear of ppl siliconing that area. What are you going with? Carpets go in on Monday and we move in on the 14th. Lots of things to finish after we move in though. Regarding tiles. Our downstairs is grouted while upstairs is siliconed. Our upstairs is timber framed and hence more chance of movement and therefore the requirement for silicone. I believe the code on brick houses doesn't require silicone corners. The first step was to attach 18mm ply to which I'm going to glue and nail the tin on. Then I'll etch it and paint it in lexicon white. Preparation is tonight. I've never played with tin so I'm slightly nervous about it. - seems to be the theme of our build Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: OB Project - "New vs Old" - Nedlands, WA 380Oct 05, 2016 7:40 pm I love it!
