Can I ask... what do you think of Dulux Natural White? This is the colour we are thinking of for our whole house but I'm worried it will be too stark in a large area.. I really like Natural White, it can change colour depending on the room and lighting, flooring etc. We painted both our upstairs and downstairs in it but downstairs looks quite different as the wooden floor boards reflect and it looks more creamy. But I really like it upstairs and it is a good white to use for feature walls. Now I have decided to paint our downstairs bedroom in a new colour, probably a soft grey as the Natural White looks to creamy for my liking ( we just painted over Chalk Usa which is quite a yellow white). But in our open plan living area it still feels warm, not stark like Vivid White would be. Hope that helps somewhat Re: Bedroom Feature Wall Colour Help 7Mar 07, 2017 9:42 am Just had a look at your new linen - it has quite bold colours in it, and I noticed in their photo the bed has a crisp white wall behind it. I think if the walls are bold the furnishings/accessories need to be very neutral and minimal or vice versa. If you don't like the white walls, maybe pick up a grey shade from the chevron stripe... but realistically, are you going to have this same quilt cover on all the time? It will eventually wear out and you will replace it. If you pick a neutral colour you can match other linens to the wall too. Grey, white and beige go with lots of colours as your tastes change. you could also pick a dark shade of neutral to make the bed pop. Second Time 'Round Re: Bedroom Feature Wall Colour Help 8May 03, 2017 5:12 pm Since you love grey, then go with your gut feeling. Furthermore, grey is kind of a general colour coding. So, it would basically match easily with everything else. It sorts of creates this blank canvas so your linen can be of any colour to create a contrast.
