I wonder if it's one of their newer floor plans? I've been reading through your thread, your floorplan and colours look lovely - it seems like we've got similar colourings! I'll upload a pic of our gallery choices a little later. We're building in South Siding, in Officer. Re: Simonds Homes - Manhattan Build 4Sep 13, 2016 10:20 am Aw thanks! Awesome I love gallery photos! I looked up the floor plan, love how much space there is for a big dining table! I totally realised that I must've been too excited because they're quite blurry. There is also the pic of the idea we based our kitchen on the hexagon tiles will be our shower niche feature tile! Floorboards throughout and the choc carpet in the bedrooms and the mocha tiles in the wet areas Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Simonds Homes - Manhattan Build 6Sep 18, 2016 5:16 pm Love your selections! That niche tile will look gorgeous! Check out matalee splashback tiles, pretty sure they're the ones you chose too viewtopic.php?p=1611991#p1611991 Gallery pics are my fave, can't wait to see them come together! Definitely looks like we have the smaller version of those splashback tiles.. the colour looks fabulous on the wall with the white cabinetry, looks like our bathroom tiles are the same too. We finally signed our final contract today.. now to wait for titles, I'm sure they'll be delayed a few times first, they now reckon March. When is your build supposed to start? I wish they'd stop using the weather as an excuse, uh hello it's Melbourne and it rains, surely they'd factor in at the beginning? I wish they'd stop using the weather as an excuse, uh hello it's Melbourne and it rains, surely they'd factor in at the beginning? Absolutely! That's funny we picked the smaller version too, and the same bathroom tiles as well haha Oh delays are definitely the standard! Right there with you, I get so annoyed. We were originally told February, 7 months of blaming the weather later and they're only just starting the road, then we still have to wait for the paperwork that will probably take just as long I hope yours is faster than ours! Have they started construction of the road or anything yet? Our land block is less than 300m sq. They need to get townplanning approval and this will take another 4-5 weeks extra.... I am getting anxious now with the delays... Re: Simonds Homes - Manhattan Build 13Nov 14, 2017 2:52 pm Hi puddlette, Sorry for late reply. yes the building has finally started in late September and we are nearing Lock up stage already. they are pretty quick on it. but have to make sure the quality is good too. Tell me about yrs.. how is everything going with your Build. Regards, Re: Simonds Homes - Manhattan Build 14Nov 18, 2017 12:49 pm We have just got to lock up stage too! It feels so weird seeing it all come to life! Since we did the gallery appointment August last year we kind of forgot what our colour selections looked like on a bigger scale but everything is turning out really well! I’m surprised at how good the quality is on our build considering how quickly they’re getting it done, a few little things here and there but nothing major! When did they say you’ll most likely be in by? We were told due to the Christmas break it’s looking like late January, early feb. We were sent an invoice on last Friday and have inspection coming Thursday.. that's when I am planning to ask the handover date. But we too think due to x-mas break it will stretch up to Jan -Feb. It is so common to forget what you had chosen for your house. we too have to go through the paper works to give a refresher. But its really feeling of next level when you see all of them coming into shape. Regarding the quality, I have found few anomalies here and there which are I think minor and can be repaired. We found a small defect on ensuite door during "Sherlock Holmes" venture to the site over the weekend. We do that every weekend when there's no workers. Have to point out the SS if they still have not fixed it. Also, How is SS? Does he gives you weekly update and all?? Ours one never calls / update us. Its was us who have to book an appointment for inspections. Hope you have good communication link with yr SS. cheers Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense.
