Also I couldn't find a local supplier of a single piece of bench top of 5.5m (other than acrylic) We met with 4 European kitchen importers and decided with the one that could supply our benchtop. What I found with all European kitchen suppliers is that they all understand design and aesthetics really well. What they all lack though is building experience and at times I've been left to solve their problems. Price wise I think they are equivalent to locally sourced cabinets but I like their choice of finishes much more. Downside is the 3-4 months wait and the risk if the cabinets don't fit.
