I want to upgrade from range A to range H bricks and they have given me 8K quote. Bigger door cost qouted by them is $1200-can I get the door from somewhere else instead? Also they have advised that I get H class slab which is another $3600 cost-do I need this or is M class ok? saline soils requirement $3400 water service check $1300 facade treatment (bag and paint) $2500 NBN connection $1300 these are big costs and was wondering is there anyway to get around these? Thanks for your help in advance Have u signed ur tender yet? Before tender u might be able to negotiate.. After that no negotiation at HOG Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13804Sep 08, 2016 7:58 pm Steven_La Has anyone got the Buildwatch ? I have been asking my Admin and SS but they are trying to ignore the question . Is this standard feature with every build or something you have to pay for or apply for? Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13805Sep 08, 2016 10:28 pm Miffy dyansky Miffy if you pick from the standard tile range, you don't have to pay for laying charges. From what I remember, only ceramic tiles are standard for EB. Hope this helps. Mike dishwasher power socket is included in our standard electrical plan. It's weird that you were charged $250. Thought this was standard. Thanks dyansky !! I really like the standard range for wet areas. We want to see their timber range for first floor. Lots of allergy and asthma issues in our house. Can't go with carpet on first floor. anyone selected timber floors here? What was the cost like? In addition......... For the standard tile range they are a 450 x 450 tiles, the porcelain tiles are 600 x 600 in size. As for us, we will be going for the porcelain tiles for the internal lower ground excluding the laundry, however external areas we will be using the standard tile range. Is this standard feature with every build or something you have to pay for or apply for? I think this will be available from lifestyle series and up only. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13807Sep 09, 2016 9:41 pm Got Buildwatch today house is from Smart Living range only which I believe is entry level. Didn't request it. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13808Sep 10, 2016 9:29 pm Just a reminder in the build stage for anyone that asks for extra noggins for the wall mount TV . If possible, you should check your site when they do framing because I paid to get the extra noggins which I found nothing have been added to my Master bed and Home Theatre. Perhaps I should check for whatever I have added to the variations because our SS can't always remember what's in it due to high volume of jobs they have to deal with. In this photos, there should be a few more extra timber in the middle where next to the entry door which I found nothing at all. This is where I will have mount TV install. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ this one too, should of had some extra timber in the middle but found nothing. This is just what we can see if we were able to get inside , what If we can't find out ? Noone would know what EBH has done if we were not able to check. We are paying for the service but we are not getting that service. EBH not allow us to come onsite while they build, but we don't know if they are doing exactly what is in the contract if we can't come visit it. Lucky, I didn't ask for more noggins in games and living otherwise I wasted my $$$ I think, its the best for someone that can get a site inspector for every stages, it's sure costing you $$ but you'll get a house that you want. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13811Sep 11, 2016 9:59 am Steven, If you needed to do a wall mount for the TV did you actually bring it up at your first appointment? It was brought to our attention at that stage recently as we are building the Waldorf 50. We've spent an extensive amount of time deciding on the placement of TV, powerpoints, two way switches and light points at the Home Display in Kellyville. It's something I can recommend to all people before they go to their first appointment. Kind Regards, Bruce Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13812Sep 11, 2016 10:14 am @ Wrongbruce I did it with Clipsal in the 2nd appointment I think. However, I changed the electrical plan a few times during the time waiting for land registered. Clipsal people were alright . So if you haven't got an idea where to put it , you can ask for advice from them. You'll have plenty of time to change the plan. I also have wall mount TV in living and home theatre for my Livingstone single storey. I asked this to my SS during framing and he said noggins will be done during electrical. Thanks for your help in advance Hi If you have not signed the contract, would recommend try getting tender from other builders with similar requirements. And you will be surprise how EB charge you high. Good luck. Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13817Sep 11, 2016 1:31 pm sudu Yes that is true to an extent. But make sure you compare apples with apples. Quality of finish is also important. I've built several houses in my lifetime and I can tell you that each builders finishing is different. Bruce "Building the Eden Brae Waldorf 50 in North Kellyville" Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13818Sep 12, 2016 4:25 pm Steven_La Steven_la My electrical rough-in will start shortly at my build, I included provision for wall mount TV with HSI who are charging me $165 for it. I am waiting for an answer from them to my question that $165 provision includes wiring as well as making sure when I install TV I will get right studs at the centre of wall. If HSI says NO to the studs then I will get my SS to do it for me.Studs are usually spaced 600mm apart and I need 2 more at 300mm on either side from the middle stud vertically oriented. ----------------- Eden Brae Cremorne Blog : http://newhouse.gores.com.au Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13819Sep 12, 2016 4:41 pm Steven_La mikegrg1 Steven_La Has anyone got the Buildwatch ? I think this will be available from lifestyle series and up only. Accordingly my SS, currently it is kind of lucky dip due to limited number of Buildwatch cams available. They give priority usually to install it at the sites where they think there is high risk of thefts. ----------------- Eden Brae Cremorne Blog : http://newhouse.gores.com.au Re: Who else is building with Eden Brae? 13820Sep 12, 2016 9:11 pm Ausman Steven_La Steven_la My electrical rough-in will start shortly at my build, I included provision for wall mount TV with HSI who are charging me $165 for it.
