I upgraded at Studio M to a category 5 but as part of cost cutting I decided to revert back to what was included later. A month or so on, my carpet consultant called me to confirm what carpet I was going with. Confused, I decided to go back in to Studio M and I looked at a few others, including a cat 2. I couldn't make a decision. 6 weeks or so later, we still hadn't decided so I was contacted again a week ago and booked a 3rd visit to Studio M to finalise my carpet as it's going to be laid in the next few weeks. So I made my decision - I stuck with a category 5 but lucky I went back in as what I originally selected vs what I thought I selected were 2 different things. These were my choices, against my main floor tile. I chose the darkest one. I like it, but I didn't mind the one on the left either. Re carpets, darker is definitely better! I went from a light beige in my last house (which we chose when we moved in and replaced the old stuff) and keeping it clean was very painful. Not again thank you very much!! Like your carpet choice what colour is it? Is it more grey or black? Thanks Emmz, more a grey colour. It's called seal fin - here's a close up...I think the carpet consultant thought I was nuts looking at carpet 4 times and taking a gazilion phones inside and outside in different light conditions...but he was very nice about it:-) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ My Phoenix by Metricon in Melbourne viewtopic.php?f=31&t=83584&p=1570829&hilit=my+phoenix+by+metricon+in+melbourne#p1570829 My Metricon Phoenix in Melbourne 194Sep 04, 2016 3:11 pm jasonwg Emmz70 Your tiles are gorgeous Jason, wow not long to go. Hah good on you for taking shots in different lighting you have to make sure I'm a fan of grey carpet, we opted for diamonds are forever, colour: vail But seal fin looks much darker will go well with your floor colour Re: My Metricon Phoenix in Melbourne 195Sep 04, 2016 3:13 pm Diamonds are forever - love it, even if it's just a name. Re the timber/laminate flooring, I did see your choice in a thread/blog somewhere and it looked great especially with a darker carpet and some timber, ie doors & stairs. I had difficulty trying to find it as well. M may have done a typo and it's supposed to be vial Im hoping they blend well because I chose Japanese black stain for stairs, charcoal stain for our bedroom doors and Rich walnut for front door I tried to change front entry stain to Japan or Charcoal but they said I couldn't because it was external also when I don't have samples you forget what you've selected Lol Sometimes I think "what was I thinking @ that time" Hi, First of all, thank you to this community for sharing your thoughts and opinions.
