Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 30, 2016 4:12 pm Hi There, We are considering installing a Fiberglass pool in Perth. We got quotations from Barrierreef pools, WA Fiberglass pools and Riverina pools. We are looking a mid size pool 7m x 6.5m (approx). Did go to few others but didnt like the response from them. Has any one installed pools from these three companies recently, Can any one please share their experiences. This will be our first pool so new to all this. Have been reading online forums and these three companies have got decent reviews. The price is comming around same range 24K to 26K. All the three companies are providing same equipment (sand filter, eQuilibrium Salt Chlorinator , Viron pump p320) all from Astralpools, pencil compaction, pool cover, roller. Reading online I have read that people have had quiet a few issues with this equipment, but then all the pool companies are providing this equipment. There is difference in terms of extra what you get from these companies. Riverina pools is including bullnosing, Barrierreef pool is including robotic cleaner. Can someone please share their experience. What all things to look for, in terms of plumbing, fitting, layout, installation steps. Cheers Re: Fiberglass pool installation in perth 2Aug 30, 2016 4:37 pm We are going with barrier reef. Slightly more expensive but the most important things for us - they rebar the edging meaning in future we won't have collapsing pavers around the pool; the installers are actually employees and not subbies, so they answer directly to the company; the salesman isn't just the salesman and is the project manager and point of contact the whole way through; and lastly, they're not part of AquaTechnics! IME, that stuff just doesn't last long term and needs replacing. Things like the chlorinator need replacing, we've replaced ours twice, pool pumps break down eventually, pool blankets degrade and need replacing, parts on auto pool cleaners regularly need replacing but afaik there is nothing out there that will last the lifetime of the pool. It's just part of the maintenance to keep these things working/replaced as necessary. Re: Fiberglass pool installation in perth 4Aug 31, 2016 1:28 pm Thanks for your replies guys. ZoePerth, I do agree with what you mentioned in terms of the company. That is pretty important what the installation is done by their own guys. Reading online have read a few stories where things didnt go well. piscean, pretty valid point as nothing is going to last long especially things which come in contact with water, salt. What size plumbing should be, at present we are not going for pool heating, but would like to have a provision incase we decide to do it in future. Is it worth getting a salt chlorinator which does acid balancing also via using two additional probes, I heard that these probes are pretty expensive and had lot of issues. What all things to look for as basic essentials, as i guess once the pools is installed certain things cannot be changed. Does pool color make any effect in terms of pools maintenance, running cost. Cheers Tama Re: Fiberglass pool installation in perth 5Sep 07, 2016 3:20 pm I was doing some research on pool cover and roller. So far what i have read is a pool cover Ausi made with 500micron (i guess thickness) is well suited for Perth climates. Daisy and Elite seems to be two local brands, i was bit surprised to find that there are some re sellers whose prices are bit cheaper than the company itself. We have kind of almost shortlisted two pools (two companies) and would be finalizing one of them based on what deal we get (price wise). Any suggestion/tips to bargain the final prices. Not really interested in the fancy bits which they add as special deals. Can some one please share some experience with what percentage a price can be bargained. Good day everyone, I have two queries regarding stacked stone style facade feature tile installation. 1. I am looking for an installation price guide to install stacked… 0 11180 Which window is more expensive to install, and roughly by how much? uPVC or Thermally Brokens? Thanks everyone! 0 8122 They will install where you want but need conduit to that point, if not it will get installed somewhere easy. NBN has documents on this. 2 6642 |
