If you choose to do a custom appointment ($500 for custom appointment) you can you choose whatever colours your like. Down Lights are around $150 each (can't remember the exact pricing) Power points really depend on your life style... We only asked for one because we are adding all our electrical in after the handover. This will also mean you will get an extra long appointment so you can take your time making decisions. b) I'm not sure how much the over fridge cupboard is, but I paid $600 for overhead cupboards over the bench so I can't imagine it being more than that. c) not sure what down lights cost, but your pre start consultant should be able to tell you that. d) we upgraded to double power points in our spare bedrooms and have found it to be worthwhile. With pre start, we made a list of things we were interested in upgrading and emailed them in advance and asked for the prices, which they were happy to provide. Hi Taylah, I did the colour appointment 2 months ago and prices are same as others have mentioned: a) custom colour app. was $500 b) overhead cupboards to fridge were $450 c) one downlight in lieu of standard light for $109 Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4206Aug 09, 2016 10:56 pm Thankyou all for your help above just wondering how much down light cost,, i know the led ones are 109 instead of the standard ones or 150 for nee ones so many things to consider Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4209Aug 12, 2016 9:38 pm LILPOM Kossie Does anyone know how long a building permit takes? (or any of the pre selected colour schemes really, as it's so difficult to make a decision with out seeing what it looks like once it is built ). Would love to see any photos if you have any of it looks like once completed please. Thanks in advance ? Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4213Aug 15, 2016 11:16 am Anyone here who didn't got pre-pour inspection done and building in western suburbs of Melbourne? If yes, What is the reason for the same? Thanks Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4214Aug 15, 2016 5:10 pm We didn't get the pre-pour inspection done. Looking back I wish that we did for peace of mind. Our slab was awful and went through rectification works. We ended up getting each inspection for each stage from then on. Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4215Aug 15, 2016 5:24 pm Which area are you building in? Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4217Aug 16, 2016 10:25 am That's really nice. We are building in Manor lakes. Frame finished last weekend. Re: Anyone building with Homebuyers Centre in VICTORIA? 4219Aug 20, 2016 3:10 pm Great news! Our developer has approved our plans and colours. So happy they agreed to my deep blue front door! Only hiccup - the front garage roller door was placed in the incorrect position. Our prestart consultant and drafting manager agreed with our concerns over the look & practicality of the door placement and will have it amended for the final plans - phew!! Now just to wait for final electrical and engineers plans, and council building permit. So much to do and so many things to think about before it event looks like your building a house!
