We are having surfmist as our compliment colour. I almost went with Dune. I wish we would of thought to make our garage bigger and also changed that front bedroom window. We changed our theatre to the same as your windows. Did you upgrade the cladding ? I would of preferred that horizontal design. Ours is boring big rectangle panels. And I like the additional ensuite for your teenage kids. Also I thought our front parapet was going to be the same as yours. I have no idea why it was changed on my plans Gibson - Hmm interesting. It rained here last night but it hasn't rained today but its very windy. I wonder if/what they will claim. I'm just annoyed that they are claiming when no work is being done. I seen my SS driving on my street when I dropped my kids to school this morning. I really wanted to follow him and hunt him down and ask for my update that I was supposed to be given last Monday. I emailed the pic of my house with no lower eaves and gutters to my CC and I didn't get a response. She tried to tell me it was done the week before. The only positive news is that while ever they haven't finished our lower roof they can't send me the invoice to pay for the next progress payment. We Finally made it How's things with you? Looks good on the progress shire synergy, does your SS tell you what's happening?! Wow I wish any of ours did. Sandra don't worry too much but yes bad trades...if it helps the ugly bits get covered later as long as it's not missing sections and it's not too sloped as your floor will need to be levelled later esp if you've got floorboards? Now back to packing and throwing our clutter out( hopefully we don't have to move for a long time as its really tiring!) https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ We are at lockup at the moment. Our SS promised PCI last Thursday, but it did not happen. I think he knew it was not going to happen when to gave me that date. I asked him to give me a realistic date, so I could start talking to the flooring company and driveway people. He gave me mid of August, which I think is not going to happen either as there are so many things to do: taps, showers, shower cabins, sinks, baths, toilets, balcony handrail, builtins, garage door, power points and switches, painting, kitchen benchtops, AC external unit and AC vents, etc. And they did very little in the past week. Very frustrating, but all I can do at the moment is wait. 2014 30/05 $3900 25/08 Contracts 02/10 DA submitted 2015 17/02 DA approved 02/04 Colors 10/04 Demo 09/07 Construction start 27/07 Fill 15/08 Slab 21/09 Frame 2016 08/01 Bricks Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 11828Aug 03, 2016 5:50 pm S-VE, I had a good run with our sales person, pre-construction were ok (apart from the guy we signed the contract with - pushy or what!), the SS has been alright - if a little slow to respond , but our CC has just been a real pain in the proverbial - so unhelpful. I've escalated a few issues to the Construction Supervisor who seems way more affable than the CC. I agree our houses are quite similar in many ways, and it looks like they will be finished around the same time. The cladding was an upgrade, cost a few hundred. We are happy with the dune, but were tossing up with the surfmist as well. Sounds like we are both fairly happy with the progress but there are certainly highs and lows along the way. Look forward to watching yours progress over the coming weeks. https://synergy32.wordpress.com Synergy 32 Contemporary Facade https://synergy32.wordpress.com/ 05/15 Deposit 09/15 Contracts 11/15 Demolition 02/16 Slab 03/16 Frame 05/16 Bricks Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 11830Aug 03, 2016 10:17 pm Fisher75 MGardz Thanks Fisher! I hope it gets better...Unfortunately, Even now with the unpacking I'm seeing more quality issues that are driving me insane. Poor paint work, poor wood work, poor cabinets, poor tiling...SS has been good go fishing off some things which is nice. We've seen him twice this week...the appliance guys were good but our aircon arrived with a zoning issue so it's getting fixed. We also got our shutters today and they really make a difference https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 11833Aug 03, 2016 11:30 pm S-VE Shire_Synergy S-VE Shire_Synergy - I checked out your blog the other day and we have a fair few items the same as you. What date is the end of your contract ? Fisher75 - no garage door ? That isn't lock up!!! No - garage door is later. Lock up is all entry doors to actual house (internal access doors from garage, laundry and front door) Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 11837Aug 04, 2016 2:56 pm They should be fitted but not necessarily J + H as they theoretically can't be accessed. Our lockup payment was suspended until the stacker door could be properly locked Today we discovered another issue. The fireplace isolation switch isn't working properly https://mandgbuildatmulgoarise.wordpress.com/ Re: Masterton Homes - The next thread 4.0 11838Aug 04, 2016 4:02 pm michelle1980 Out of interest fisher75 how long have u been at lockup? Apparently there is a 3-4 week wait on tilers due to the amount of houses to be done 4 17126 i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 16497 Hi all I am looking to run a water line under my concrete footpath which is directly next to my home, was seeing if this is possible without cutting the entire section… 0 20639 |
