Re: OB Project - "New vs Old" - Nedlands, WA 268Jul 24, 2016 11:07 pm Great southern 2.5 acre new family home https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=ht ... are_type=t That is the link to my build which we are currently in the early stages of our build Re: OB Project - "New vs Old" - Nedlands, WA 269Jul 24, 2016 11:48 pm Really like the design and what a location!! Will definitely follow your build! Good luck. Re: OB Project - "New vs Old" - Nedlands, WA 270Jul 26, 2016 9:53 pm My Ballustrade is getting welded together. I've stuck with a very simple design. It will also partly block vision of our second level from the entrance which was really important for us. I'll be doing the storm water. Tilers will start on the guest bathroom and our concrete polishers will also get started. OB Project - "New vs Old" - Nedlands, WA 271Jul 28, 2016 8:43 pm Our bulkhead over our future kitchen island was installed today. It hides our rangehood and aircon system. The sides will be made of aluminium flat bar. When it arrived it was 20mm too small to fit. After minor modifications it now fits like a glove. It's now waiting for me to install the range hood. I'm using 100mm sewage pipes rather than 90mm soak well piping. Much tougher and will hopefully be bullet proof. All in all a good first day back from the flu. OB Project - "New vs Old" - Nedlands, WA 274Jul 28, 2016 11:35 pm Thankyou! They are porcelain 300x75 tiles. They look very genuine. - not cheap though They were one of very few tiles we could choose that were black and able to be layed in a herringbone pattern on the floor. We will also be using them in the original bathroom. I'm really thankful that we have a good tiler that doesn't mind challenges. Re: OB Project - "New vs Old" - Nedlands, WA 275Jul 28, 2016 11:54 pm They look nearly identical to the marble tiles I was looking at from Melbourne please pm me were I can get some similar ones... Mainly for my own benefit August week 0ne: -Tiling of ensuite to start. -Installation of Ballustrade -Finishing off kitchen bulkhead. -Start ikea wardrobes for upstairs kids rooms. August week 2: - Finish off ensuite tiling - finish off ground floor door frames. - start painting ground floor - ceiling flusher to flush bathroom ceilings. August Week 3: -Concrete polishers to polish ground floor and stairs. - Take delivery of all cabinetry including kitchen and bathrooms. - start front yard brick walls. - finish off upstairs painting August week 4: - Start cabinet work. Likelihood of actually following the above plan. Zero. DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair That laser level looks lovely! We bought one for less than a quarter of that price off eBay.
