Added - The builder calls up the materials - if that's too ealry then there's a high risk of theft. He supplied the security.

The easy jobs will take care of themselves. - Dale Carnegie Re: Theft of Windows - Update - Mernda Village Drive 32Jan 30, 2009 12:52 pm George and I saw a carload of people attempt to park, and completely hit the side of the parked car! it was TERRIBLE! Dint the size of a basketball, no paint... They finished parking and waited in the car for awhile (we were hiding behind a pillar watching) and after about 5 minutes they drove off and parked somewhere else! So we left the rego and car details
My car has been hit on both sides of my rear bumper (dints, no paint damage) and my drivers side front bumper (paint damage) and the worst part is that it happened at work! There's only 15 people who park down our side too. Seriously George, who is pedantic about the cars, was absolutely furious Custom European Cabinets - Melbourne Kitchen Specialist PM for business details as website currently being updated! Re: Theft of Windows - Update - Mernda Village Drive 35Jan 30, 2009 1:48 pm We had our mesh stolen from our site and lucky the anal developer that lives next to our estate, put in security video cameras and got the licence plate and car on video! The only thing we had pinched was the internal door handles, which the new (good!) SS had actually hiddden in a cupboard when he went on site. .... Hmmm I think this may have just happened to us. I checked our place out last night and noticed the box of all the door accessories was gone, but they weren’t on the door and the receipt was still there, thinking they may have returned them as incorrect. I have a sneaking suspicion that they went walk about... grr Not that it cost me anything, and PD replaced them without question, but yeah...I was tempted to have a quick look on Ebay, or Gray's Online when I heard that ours had disappeared... Solidarity, not solidity.......The Lexicon of Life Re: Theft of Windows - Update - Mernda Village Drive 37Jan 30, 2009 3:43 pm One good thing about our build being so slow was that we had several neighbours move in long before our house had any materials that were easy to steal ****** around.
We still had our water tank pump stolen out of a cupboard. The tradies were hopeless at securing the place. We used to com over every night and find doors and windows open. And the entire street had their water meters stolen shortly after they were installed. Vacant land, nobody around at night.... apparently there's a gang that goes around new estates pinching them and selling the copper. Again, it wasn't our problem, but you can bet the cost gets passed on by the water authority in our rates. Oh, and they replaced our nice shiny (stolen) new meter with a crappy old one. My husband rang and complained yesterday and they're going to replace it with another new one. Cos it's important to have a bright shiny water meter.... Of course if it's us putting them in don't worry. Thanks Ed "ECOECO" At 'EcoEco', we design windows, we design the best windows, we do it for you, so that when you’re happy we are happy.
