We're still trying to find a concreter (I've made another post about that), but we've had great work done so far from our excavator and drainage guy working on our waste treatment plant. Damien Forrest- Forrests Earth Works (damien@forrestsearthworks.com.au) Daniel Alford- Alford Drainage (alforddrainage@bigpond.com) If anyone else can recommend a good concreter in the west or northwest of Melbourne let me know. I am interested in exploring the owner-builder option but need a good PM to do a lot of the heavy lifting... Firstly, thanks to the OP for this thread - has been most helpful to have a list of trades that have proven to deliver the goods! In regards to PM's we were looking at doing something similar a few months back and reached out to a few places to assist with our project. Some didn't even bother getting back to us where others spent time to discuss the project and really understand what we wanted to achieve. We didn't get into the real nitty-gritty of fee structures and what-not as we ultimately made the decision to go down the owner builder path, however we were left with positive impressions from both of these firms. Hopefully you find similar if you go down this path. The two places were Marino Construction (http://marinoconstruction.com.au) and Project Edge (http://www.projectedge.melbourne). FWIW we also tried to negotiate a Construction Management type arrangement with a builder which was a little painful and ended up getting us nowhere.. Unless there were unforeseeable issues with the site, I dont think you should have to pay for contractors errors or poor planning. I'd probably try and be reasonable and… 5 4513 I do enjoy the drama:-D In his latest two videos he has started bringing security guards to site, I am waiting for the punch on to begin lol 6 45498 Hello, we can help you please get in contact 0421019219 thank you 3 31823 |
