Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Sovereign by Metricon 81Jul 10, 2016 4:15 am Hi All, I'm currently looking at building the Sovereign 50 with the Provincial facade in SE Melbourne. Have visited a display home down near Cranbourne and loved it. Have deposited the $1000, but now thinking that I've done that too rushed (only saw it for the first time). If there's anyone building down this way, what are your experiences so far? I've been reading reviews but they seem so mixed, might even say more negative than positive. The approximate price that the sales gave me was $10000 a square, and so I was looking at about $540000-$570000. He said that this includes the site costs (approx $40000), the facade (approx $30000), staircase upgrade (approx $17000), electrical package (40 down lights, 10 double power points, 8 dimmers, etc), tiles (porcelain up to cat 2/3) and carpets (up-to cat 2/3), tiled walls in bathrooms (nearly floor to ceiling) choice of above mount vanity basins, kitchen splash back allowance, and a bit of mix and match. I noticed that some of the fellow contributors have added the guest downstairs, do you mind me asking about how much that would cost? Hope to hear from you guys soon! Thank you ^⊙^ Re: Sovereign by Metricon 82Jul 10, 2016 7:05 pm Mikki520 Hi All, I'm currently looking at building the Sovereign 50 with the Provincial facade in SE Melbourne. Thank you ^⊙^ Welcome Mikki520, Sovereign is simple but beautiful house. i have combined study and sitting to make a guest room and its costing em around ~10k. my 2cents would be to do preliminary contract and then go for full contract.. that will help fixing any issues before you you go for the final contract signing. Must be a mistake! i think thats the same amount they quoted us, 28k with every room can have different temp as well upto 10 degree difference if i remember it correctly. there was another option for 22 k but you cant have all 4 zone ON at the same time and no temp control per zone...
