Some stone suppliers will only guarantee an OH of 300-400mm unless you either go up a thickness of stone or have some sort of support under the OH both of which would add quite a bit to the cost. It's perfect width. I have to clean it from both sides as its too wide to wipe properly from one side without marking the edge of the stone with Jean buttons / buckles etc. My stone mason has been in the industry for 30 years and told me up to 20% of stone cracks due to being too big unsupported.
