So im glad this was not an extra charge. PHeww... Still kinda scared me when it appeared on my bank statement. I dont see this $768 charge anywhere. Can you tell me where would this appear? They gave us some directions to amend our landscaping (basically add some more planting and another tree to front even though we only have a 15m frontage) but approved it with notes without us having to re-submit it so super happy. They did have some other points to make as suggestions like move the water tank from the backyard to the side of house but we can't do that as we don't have the room. Re: Oran Park - 10f 10g release - rego done - next steps.. 314Jun 30, 2016 10:42 am From what I know, CDC is usually a straight forward process where the proposed design complies with the house construction by-laws and hence is approved quickly. DA is where you have to convince the council for approval because your design has additional things that are a bit out of norm. Example is one of my colleague had to get DA for construction of twin duplexes in a street where there were no other duplexes. Most builders will push for a CDC. I had to reduce thickness of my rear wall by a few cm for my application to have good chances to get CDC approved. If I hadn't agreed on that, it would've required DA (more time). Hope that helps ! I am having this ridculous issue and dont wanna miss out on 10000 grant.. I settled my land first and now applying for construction loan... Both are for first home buyers. Link 1 - http://www.osr.nsw.gov.au/grants/fhnh Link 2 - http://www.osr.nsw.gov.au/grants/fhog If the total price you are paying is above $750,000 then you wont get the grant. Ex - Land price - $400,000 (actual buy price and not the current value) Build price - $350,000 Total $750,000 You would still get the grant. Now you can analyse where you stand in terms of the price. So we didn't get the full grant however our solicitor applied with just the vacant land contract and we did get a partial grant for that. Oh i didnt knew you could get a grant based on land only as well.. I thought it was combined with land and house value..
