Browse Forums Building A New House Re: The Avenue - Schofields 331Jun 17, 2016 5:55 pm We are in same boat. Asked when will it start, got a letter saying construction phase started and works will commence in 20 working days. That was 3 weeks ago so in theory we should start next week but haven't been contacted by building supervisor yet. Re: The Avenue - Schofields 335Jun 22, 2016 11:59 am Yeah exactly, yes it's under by a long way but as you would have seen last valuation was a few years ago. The lower it is the lower the rates so enjoy it while you can! Those few days are up they are about to cop it again, lack of communication drives me crazy, it's not that hard.... Re: The Avenue - Schofields 338Jul 08, 2016 12:13 pm Hey, Anyone else here waiting on a "Complying Development Certificate"? Ours was apparently only submitted on the 27th of May and they said it can take up to 8 weeks! Hard to understand when so many have started... How long did it take for everyone else's to come back? How soon after that do they start building? Cheers, Marty Re: The Avenue - Schofields 339Jul 09, 2016 10:51 pm Hi Marty, Ours went to council on the 3rd of Dec. Was told on the 8th of Feb it had been signed off but takes a week for paperwork to be sent to Mirvac. The delay was then for the land to settle which was on the 9th of May. Our build started around the 26th of May and we currently have our first floor frames and some windows in and what looks like the steel and second floor frames on site waiting. Hard to tell on actual council time with our dates as it overlapped Christmas. The wait is pretty frustrating as you don't get much feedback or any updates. Re: The Avenue - Schofields 340Jul 10, 2016 5:26 pm Hi Wickets, Thanks for the reply. We are building in the same release you are and are in Taya St. We were told they weren't able to get council approval until the land was settled. Wish we were progressing as fast as your place is, I don't think we will be in our place until next year now. Anyone else awaiting for their house to start building? What are Mirvac telling you? So it seems like they just take on a lot of projects to get the cashflow for their own builds. COULDN'T AGREE MORE 14 45003 No idea about the driveway question, but your price for a house that size including landscaping seems very good! 1 6408 We bought land in Tallawong Schofields NSW size 30m X 12.5m and planning to get double story house build around 350 sqm.
