At the end of the day it mostly comes down to the SS. If he is reasonably competent and not overloaded with overseeing to many builds, things should in theory go ok... after all these are project homes. Unfortunately ours has been a 14 month disaster that will come to an end next Friday. I am so so glad to hear it's coming to an end for you jeffkaz! I hope all of the outstanding issues have been fixed and that you're taking possession of something you love. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4267May 23, 2016 2:29 pm So we're cutting it super close I don't think we will make it but it's not to bad our loan settles on Friday and our contract ends on Sunday so we should only have to pay 1 week of admin fees if it even works that way I have no idea as usual ? Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4268May 23, 2016 6:41 pm Hi all. Just posted a few more pics in our thread if you're interested. Our SS quit last week, so things have slowed a little. New one starts tomorrow and area manager has work booked for this week and next, so fingers crossed! viewtopic.php?t=82814 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4271May 24, 2016 6:55 pm Yep thats correct, must be complete before sending out invoice Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4272May 24, 2016 6:56 pm Frame stage should not be sent out at the same time as base though Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4273May 24, 2016 6:56 pm BTTTB Ok question they sent us through progress payment invoices for base and frames.... The stage has to be complete before it is paid right?? Correct In the build contract it will mention exactly what each stage contains. We got invoiced for a slab and we didnt even have plumbing viewtopic.php?t=80908 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80908 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4274May 24, 2016 7:04 pm powerfamilybuild BTTTB Ok question they sent us through progress payment invoices for base and frames.... Yeah thought getting a frame invoice was a bit early when they haven't even delivered them to our block! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 4275May 24, 2016 7:14 pm Yay BTTTB! You have a slab. You should have 1 invoice to pay, not 2. Frames stage doesn't take too long to arrive, though. Looking good! Your land is nice and flat. Trying to cut down on the number of downlights but not sure what else would work. Having pendants over kitchen bench so thinking that any other lights would clash/look too busy in the kitchen/family/dining room. Anyone kept some batten holders??
