Any recommendations? Our build with MJH http://ganilton.blogspot.com.au/?m=1 I'm wondering the same. hi Rachel, How did you go with your PCI? It's in a couple of weeks, I dont think I'll go with an independent inspector. It's quite expensive.[/quote] We just did our PCI this week. We ended up getting an inspector and they gave us a list of things to fix - mainly finishes which we already had noted to be fixed (they did find we had rubbish left in our roof space though). We just did it for peace of mind. Wish you all the best with your PCI! Re: Building at Willowdale 2617May 31, 2016 10:14 am Hi fellow neighbours, Hope everyone is going well with their build. My site supervisor has contacted us and informed that handover is due in 4 weeks. We will need to do our own landscaping but when our builder applied for CDC for us they submitted a landscape plan which includes turfing and pebbles etc. My builder has advised that we will need to follow their landscape plan (as that was approved) to get the final occupancy certificate. We were thinking of doing concreting. Would this be an issue when getting the final occupancy cert? Apparently we only have the interim certificate applied by the builder and will need to get our own final cert after outdoors are completed. Thanks! Hey there eddylamy, As long as you meet the requirements for open space for rain soak & the construction measures you take meet relevant Standards/BCA, then I can't see why you can't change the landscaping plan...I changed the *beep* outa mine, & I did extensive concreting, & I got both an interim & final OC no probs. PM me if you'd like photos All the best with it! Sent using Tapatalk Re: Building at Willowdale 2619May 31, 2016 2:17 pm Hi Guys, Finally we are in our new home! But... Our new life is hard without Internet... hahah Just wondering if everyone has NBN set up already? We were told by both NBN co. and internet providers that our NBN is not linked/activated/live yet. Any advice? Cheers Our build with MJH http://ganilton.blogspot.com.au/?m=1 Re: Building at Willowdale 2620Jun 01, 2016 7:52 am Hi all, I am currently working on the items in my "Rectification" list prior calling for a FOC re-inspection. The list includes Lawn and Landscaping, provide steps when difference in ground level > 500mm, clearing the site and etc. Besides the items, do you know of any other requirements that should be completed prior to final re-inspection? Such as, - Cloths line - House number sign - Fence - Shutters and Blinds - Security screens I am paying $ 250 for a re-inspection and if I fail I would have to spend another $ 250. So, it is better that I get things right at one go.
