The question I am hoping someone can answer is how is the caesarstone cut around the sink? Is the stainless steel bridge between the 2 basins exposed or is it covered by caesarstone? I have been told that it is not a good idea to have the casesarstone covering it as it can crack. I have seen pictures showing both ways & I am not sure if you need to upgrade to not have it. Hi Robyn, I'm not sure what is the default style.. During my colour selection, i asked to add a note for removing the ceaser bridge. (if in case that's the default) Thanks Jeeman, We are doing our colours at the end of the month so I might do the same thing & hopefully my Prestart Consultant will tell me if it is standard or not. Doesn't it depend on the type of double bowl basin used? If you are opting for 2 single bowl basins, then you will have stone between the sinks. If the basin comes in a double by default, then there won't be stone between the basins. Re: Boutique Homes 2150May 13, 2016 7:46 pm Happy Friday! I am close to handover to construction team.. Has anyone used the services of SPI Property Inspectors? https://letsbuildwithboutique.wordpress.com Re: Boutique Homes 2151May 13, 2016 8:45 pm Got a devastating news today that my landlord is selling the property we are staying and we have 2 months allowance to vacate after the sale. Depending on the new owner More and more that I need to push Places Victoria give us the title. Even if they give our title I wont be able to move in to the new house till probably Nov or Dec or Jan17 Worst comes to worst I need to find a place by end of Aug. Any suggestions as I don't know if other rental properties would allow me to rent between 4-6 months Oh well that is life. 7 years in this property and we were good renters took care of the property and paid on time. - The joys of renting --------------------------------------------- Building a St. Tropez 25 - Boutique Homes Aurora Estate Wollert - Victoria Re: Boutique Homes 2152May 13, 2016 8:48 pm 7th_Cavalry Got a devastating news today that my landlord is selling the property we are staying and we have 2 months allowance to vacate after the sale. Because of land titling late I managed to go month by month on my lease. There are short term leases available under flatmates.com.au but not sure if you would like that setup. Hopefully, the new buyer is an investor. I hope it does not come to that. We have a spare room if you really stuck. Boutique Homes 2155May 13, 2016 9:40 pm Try and find private rentals rather than through and agent. The only thing is I wouldn't know where to start... Actually maybe Facebook 'residents' pages and if they only accept or befriend if you live in the area, email admin! Let's face it, if you want someone to rent a property especially through a real estate, they want min 1 year or six months. As they then have to pay agency fees for advertising etc. Unless you rent and then negotiate and you find a tenant if you break lease under a year. I see a lot of people do that on Facebook in our community page. So many people need to rent these days it's hard to find property but you have the 7 years good history behind you good luck! If it hasn't I wouldn't be thinking you would move in this year. After civil construction finished they apply for titles through the council that can take a number of weeks. After titles are issued there is 2 weeks settlement period. From receiving your titles to getting to site can take in some instances 3-4 months. Then the build would be another 5-6 months not accounting for delays etc. Our land was through places Vic and we had significant delays as well. Once our land finished construction it took them just about 2 months to issue the titles. Then it took 4 months to get to site for us (we had Christmas break in the mix) Places Vic took forever with our developer approval which held us up getting to site. Maybe look at a 6 month lease which has option of going month to month? Or look at moving out now and getting a 12 month lease? My land titled after 20 months, new estate and bought in stage 1. From title its taken two weeks for developer approvals on engineering plans. I am told 3 weeks to handover to construction (1 June) and another 4 weeks to slab pour (approx) .. So that's roughly from title 2 months. I am planning for a Christmas finish I hope it does not any longer. Such a long wait! 7th_Calvary I think you might have to start having a back up plan. Worse comes to worse a colleague of mine was in a similar situation and ended up living out of a caravan (not great if you have kids). Hi, Banehouse - civil works has been finished end of March. Last update was just the electrical that is awaiting for approval from the council so we are expecting in the next 2 weeks it will send out to title office for registration which puts best estimate to be 1st or 2nd week of June for settlement. Then another 2 weeks so bring us to July. Which Boutique then have to arrange for civil works. Are you residing in the whittlesea council area? Another question why did it took 3-4 months for Boutique to go into site? I thought only 1 month only from title? --------------------------------------------- Building a St. Tropez 25 - Boutique Homes Aurora Estate Wollert - Victoria Re: Boutique Homes 2159May 14, 2016 9:36 am 7th_Cavalry baneshouse Has the civil construction finished for your land yet? Our land titled end of October with settlement occurring 2 weeks after. We went to site first week of Feb. Once title they apply for soil sample that can take up to 10 working days. Need to apply for PSI report from water/council authority (this can take some time and we where advised to worst case scenario it take 4-8 weeks. Ours took approx 2 weeks) They can't apply for engineering or building permit before that report gets back. Drafting will then work on your final plans (based on soil report) they then supply this to developer for approval - this is where places Victoria now can cause you more pain depending on how long they take. Once you have developers approval they will send plans to you to sign off on - check this with fine tooth comb! Once they have that back they apply for final engineering that can take up to 10 working days. Then the scheduling department picks up your file and begins ordering all items and making sure everything is still available etc. This is when they apply for your building permit. Once scheduling finish final plans are drawn and sent to you for approval. From there your final is sent to construction(only happens on a wed) then you will be issued a site start date which is usually the wed after!
