I haven't yet signed the HIA contract; but my land titling has already delayed (still within the 6 months). I was told there is an option to go for monthly a price protection. Does anyone know if this is a prepaid option like an insurance for additional months? or postpaid - calculated when the land is titled depending upon the delayed months.? We had an extra month added into our PWC at no cost to us but they had the costing in at approx 900 ish. Basically the charge for what we would have to pay each month anyway. Since we signed up though things have changed with how they handle price protection. Best bet is to speak to either your sales or pre start consultant. Don't sign your HIA until your happy with their answer and get it in writing. We ended up being out of our price protection by 11 months for which we paid approx $5K. Don't forget once land titles it may take a few months to get to site depending on what approvals you require etc and the price protection has to cover you until you go to site.
