Hi
We are building a house and without going into all th complicated detail we've hit an issue with our builder regarding the internal painting.
We are doing white ceilings and white skirting boards and architraves. The walls are all beige except for two bathrooms and master bedroom where we are doing a pale blue. Because we are doing these three rooms a different colour the painter is saying it will cost an additional $1300. We can't comprehend why it's so much money just to use a different colour. Preparation is surely the same - same amount of cutting in and same volume of paint. Only difference is they need to stop and wash the brushes etc to apply the blue. Are we missing something? Can this $1300 really be justified?
