I came across this thread today. My husband and I exchanged contracts in March for Lot 404, Jardine Drive, although proposed future street name is apparently Rattey Avenue. Land expected to be registered August 2016, if all goes to plan.
Has anyone on here purchased any of the neighbouring lots? Would love to get to know our future neighbours!
I'll be designing the house myself and then finding a builder to bring what I design "to life".
What have been your experiences with Liverpool Council vs private certifiers for approval?

Welcome to the forum. We did something similar. We hired an architect to have a custom design. You can give your input to the architect. You can design if you are an architect or similar profession otherwise leave it to the professionals. We then selected a builder to build it. Our builder got the plans approved by Liverpool council in a week or so. Liverpool council is great and they have fast track application process which takes less than a week to approve. Custom design will be expensive than the project builders though. My lot is on jardine drive as well. Wish you All the best
