Which is better - on a pole on top of the roof or in the roof?
We are meant to have good reception where we are and there is only $50 difference between the two so I'm not sure which one to go with.

Cute but no reception for your TV [/url] Nice - And we certainly wouldn't be putting that "Ariel" in roof. As for the TV - well that can go in the bin ![]() Re: Aerial 7Jul 16, 2007 12:14 pm Isnt that the same as 'Antenna'.....
nowadays there's a choice between the analog and digital antennas.. I wonder if the 'digital' is only a salesman's trick to sell u more expensive stuff. check your options before u proceed. Re: Aerial 8Jul 16, 2007 12:49 pm An aerial won't work in a roof space if you have reflective foil sarking (a good idea) or a metal roof. If you have a tile roof and no reflective sarking then an aerial will work in the roof, but generally the higher the better.
Take a look at your neighbours' aerials, If they are all welll above the roof then you'll need to also go well above the roof. If they are nice and low set and you don't have any metal in the roof, go for the roof option. You can always get a pole later and install it outside if there is a problem. BTW, if you get pay TV, they run the free-to-air stations on the cable as well. (Please check this one since things may have changed). |
